What do I need to prepare for Palau?

Palau is a place where you can go whether you choose to dive or not, but it has to be said that it is really a very suitable place for diving. The following small series will introduce you to how to play in Palau.

Visa Palau is a visa-free country and does not need to apply for a visa in advance. Palau's entry application card is carbon-free copy of white and yellowcard, the white card is used for entry inspection, half of yellowcard is used for customs declaration, and the other half of yellowcard will be picked up at the airport when leaving the country. Get an entry and exit application form on an international flight to Palau and fill it out in English.

With diving suit: the split diving suit with books is more convenient to put on and take off, and the thickness is too expensive. I think ordinary snorkeling is enough. A treasure has many choices.

Diving socks: can protect the soles of feet, not afraid of scratches. Of course, you can also buy flippers, but I don't think diving socks are practical.

Mask+straw: sea travel is generally provided free of charge, but Xiao Yu's husband, Ji Ge, is nearsighted and directly equipped with a mask with a degree. Actually, it's not very expensive. Xiaoyu bought a set by herself, and the equipment is relatively clean to use.

Swimsuit trunks: Needless to say, at least two sets should be brought, and Xiaoyu brought three sets.

Swimsuit blouse: I'm not slim enough or confident enough to wear only a bikini. When I am in an uninhabited island, I can take photos with my coat on, and of course I can change clothes, but Xiaoyu is lazy and can keep out the wind on the boat.

Waterproof bag+mobile phone waterproof bag: In Palau, traveling to sea is the main way, and you will get wet every time you go out to sea. Important things and dry clothes towels can be put in the waterproof bag, and we both use a 35L one, not to mention the importance of the waterproof bag for mobile phones;

Sunscreen, sunscreen spray: this is a must for island tours. Use cream on your face and spray it on your body. If you get sunburned, you can apply aloe vera gel to relieve it.

Anti-mosquito water: Before I left, I saw that all the great gods told me to take it, but Xiaoyu was not liked by mosquitoes, so it was of little use to me.

Camera: bring your own Sony a6000, and rent an underwater camera Olympus TG-4. The rent for 9 days is only 175 yuan, just rent an underwater camera, there is no need to buy it;

Sunglasses: the sun on the sea is dazzling, so you can put ink eyes when you are practical;

Slippers: Of course, you should wear slippers when you go out to sea, and slippers travel all over the world;

Medicine: It's best to take seasickness medicine or something and go out to sea every day. If you feel a little uncomfortable, the whole trip will be in vain, but remember to bring the medicine with English instructions or doctor's certificate, otherwise it will be confiscated by the customs.

Air ticket+hotel I think the most cost-effective way to travel in Palau is to buy air ticket+hotel package. Although there are no direct flights to Palau in China, Hong Kong and Macao can fly directly. As a Cantonese, it is convenient to start from Hong Kong or Macau.

At the end of September, I saw Palau machine+wine at a minimum of 2999 yuan. As an island controller, I started without hesitation. Nemo's 6-day and 5-night package is 3259 yuan per person. A friend has been to Nemo's house before. Although it is an economical hotel, its advantages are clean enough, convenient transportation, convenient shopping and dining, and high cost performance. In Palau, I basically go out during the day, and I don't have high requirements for hotels. Nemo's home is a good choice! There is no wifi in Nemo's room, but there is in the lobby, but it is very slow. The communication network here in Palau is very poor. It is good to have wifi, and friends can send it all the time after brushing it a few times.

It is convenient to rent a car in Palau, just bring your domestic driver's license. We rented a car at Nemo's house at that time. Because we were residents, we didn't need a deposit and the car cost was not much. If you have a fancy model, book it in advance, and rent it for $50 to $200 a day.

Local traffic rules: There are generally three roads on the road. Cars drive on the right. Overtaking is not allowed in principle. The middle lane is reserved for left-turn vehicles, and no straight-through vehicles are allowed to occupy it. Different roads have different speed limit signs, so remember not to overspeed in urban areas. Since Palau does not have a camera, the traffic police fined it on the spot. It is difficult to meet the traffic police when you leave the city, but you need to drive carefully and be careful.

We booked the car too late, only this Mitsubishi and BMW Z4 were left. The price of Z4 is four times that of Mitsubishi, so we finally chose this Mitsubishi. Although this car is ugly, it is practical enough.
