Gexianshan is located in Gexianshan Town in the middle of Yanshan County, Shangrao City, Jiangxi Province, at the northern foot of Wuyi Mountain, with the main peak Gexianfeng at an altitude of 1096.3 meters. Gexianshan is "one mountain and two religions, and Taoism and Buddhism share the same path."
Gexian Mountain is dedicated to Ge Xuan, the ancestor of the Taoist Lingbao School, which is also the legendary Tai Chi immortal.
Many local people come here to pray and worship. It is said that it is also very effective and is known as "the first mountain of Chinese Lingbao".
Before leaving, I heard an old couple say that they were vegetarian for three days in advance and went up the mountain on foot. Once they came to worship, they would come for three years in a row!
So on such a hot day, many locals come here to pray!
