Who is Shangqiu Sanshang?

Sanshang refers to merchants, commodities and merchants. Sanshang originated in Shangqiu, the ancestral home of Sanshang, and was called "the ancestor of Chinese businessmen" by Wang Hai, a merchant. With the rapid development of agriculture and animal husbandry in ancient times, Shang tribes became strong rapidly, and they produced a surplus of things. So Wang Hai, the ancestor of Shang Dynasty, developed production in Shangqiu with cattle and horses, pulled goods with ox carts, and engaged in transactions in other tribes, which initiated the commercial trade in China. Over time, people call the merchant tribes engaged in trade activities "merchants", the goods used for exchange as "commodities" and the businesses engaged in by merchants as "buying and selling".
