How many districts are there in Taiyuan?

There are six districts in Taiyuan: xiaodian district, yingze district, Wanbailin, Xinghualing, jiancaoping district and Jinyuan.

1. xiaodian district belongs to Gu Jinyang, located on the east bank of Fenhe River. It is one of the downtown areas of Taiyuan and the seat of Shanxi provincial government.

2. yingze district is the central city of Taiyuan, the center of politics, economy, culture, transportation, media, communication and finance. It is the main seat of Taiyuan ancient city in Song, Yuan and Ming Dynasties, and its name comes from Yingzemen, one of the gates of the ancient city after the expansion of Ming Dynasty.

Wanbailin District, located on the west bank of the scenic Fenhe River, is the largest and most populous central city in Taiyuan. Wanbailin District is the transportation hub of Taiyuan, with developed transportation network and numerous expressway and railways.

4. Jiefang Road Dongfu West Street in Xinghualing District is one of the main gathering places of finance and commerce in Taiyuan. It is the political center of Taiyuan, and the resident of the provincial political consultative conference, the provincial military region, the municipal party committee, the municipal government and other provincial and municipal party, government and military organs.

5. jiancaoping district is located in the northern part of the main city of Taiyuan, formerly known as the northern suburb, surrounded by mountains on three sides and separated by water. It governs 9 streets, 2 towns, 2 townships, 7/kloc-0 communities and 77 administrative villages, with a total area of 285.6 square kilometers, of which the built-up area is 4 1.6 square kilometers.

6. Jinyuan District has a history of more than 2,500 years and is known as the source of Sanjin and the hometown of Tang Yao. It gave birth to two prosperous times: Wenjing and Zhenguan, and produced a large number of historical and cultural celebrities such as Liu Heng, Li Shimin, Wang Changling and Bai Juyi.
