I once wrote that the greatest happiness in life is to have a place where you can temporarily forget the trivialities and troubles in life and put yourself in a strange place. Potala Palace is such a place for me. There are blue sky and white clouds, endless emptiness. Everyone has their own reasons for going to Tibet, and they also have different aspirations for Tibet.

That day, we returned to Lhasa from Yanghu, and it was nearly eight o'clock in the evening. It's too late to go to Barkhor Street at this time. It's closed.

However, the night view of Potala Palace is still worth looking forward to. Therefore, our group decided to have a look at Potala Palace.

The starting price of taxis in Lhasa is not expensive and it is convenient to travel, but it takes a long time to wait for the bus. It takes about 10 minutes to get to Potala Palace by taxi from the hotel. At night, the traffic on the section of Potala Palace is limited, so you need to go from the underground passage to the entrance of Potala Palace Square, carry your ID card for face recognition, and scan the local code to enter.

There were a lot of people and a long queue that night. Near the entrance, fate arrived. When I came to Lhasa, I met an aunt in Baoji, Shaanxi Province on the train.

She shook my hand excitedly and shouted "Xiao He". We meet again! In fact, everyone consciously wears masks in public, but it's a little surprising that she can recognize me at a glance in the crowd. After a few commonplaces, I found that our fate is really deep.

In the south of the square, stands a monument to the peaceful liberation of Tibet, which is of great significance. During the day, the words "long live the motherland" can be clearly seen on the hill at the right rear of the monument.

The Monument to the Peaceful Liberation of Tibet was completed on May 22nd, 20001,located in Potala Palace Square. At night, the monument to peaceful liberation after the rain seems to be more perfect.

Potala Palace Square is the tallest city square in the world, located directly opposite Potala Palace in Lhasa, Tibet. It is an important activity place in Lhasa and one of the tourist attractions that attract Chinese and foreign tourists. It is a modern square integrating leisure, culture and assembly.

This square is also an important part of the Potala Palace, a world cultural heritage.

In the evening, we strolled in the Potala Palace Square.
