Cultural inheritance of Haimenshan Opera

Among the local operas cultivated after the founding of New China, four major operas are the leading operas in the Chinese opera industry. Among them, the north is Longjiang Opera, the south is Bai Opera, the west is Long Opera, and the east is Haimenshan Opera, which is widely spread across the land.

Haimen folk songs include Tongdong folk songs and Shadi folk songs, both of which originate from the daily life of the people. Farmers and fishermen whose ancestors lived in the north of Haimen always love to sing loudly in their production and life. Young men and women also often express love in the form of songs, which forms the Tongdong folk songs among Haimen folk songs. During the Ming and Qing Dynasties, a large number of Chongming and Jiangnan people crossed the river to cultivate and settle. Their arrival formed the sandy folk songs in the southern area of ??Haimen. In the relevant historical materials of the Ming Dynasty, Haimen folk songs were described as "folk songs are heard in the clear day, and reed flutes are blown high and low in the evening smoke". This is also the earliest record of Haimen folk songs. Haimen folk songs have simple and natural language, vivid images and full of interest. The music is pure, sweet, melodious and graceful. Due to the different meanings expressed by the songs, Haimen folk songs are divided into impromptu folk songs and narrative folk songs.

In 1958, the Haimen Mountain Opera Troupe was formally established, which developed Haimen folk songs from a single song into a unique mountain opera. It has formed its own singing and vocal system, has its own performance industry, and also has its own opera performance routine. It has initially reached the stage of mature opera.

Over the past 40 years since its establishment, the troupe has created and transplanted more than 200 plays. In 1993 and 2002, the mountain operas "Qinglongjiao" and "Song for Mom" ??were performed in Beijing respectively. Haimenshan Opera Troupe has also won the reputation of "the best troupe in the world". Haimenshan opera still retains a local cultural color, regional cultural color, especially based on folk songs, the combination of folk songs and dialogue tones. It is very valuable that it can maintain such a style to this day. Mountain opera indeed has a tenacious vitality and can achieve great development in the future.

In recent years, Haimen City has continuously strengthened the creation of Haimen folk songs and folk operas. At the beginning of this year, the newly arranged Haimenshan opera "Peach Picking" was invited to participate in the 3rd China Binzhou Boxing International Small Opera Art Festival. It stood out from the repertoire selected by more than 50 professional groups across the country and won the silver medal. This is the first time in the history of Haimen folk songs. The highest art award ever received. In 2002, Haimen folk songs were listed as local textbooks for primary and secondary schools in Haimen City. Since 1998, Haimen City has held a folk song concert every year, so that the flowers of folk songs can continue to bloom in the land of rivers and seas, and the fragrance can be spread all year round.
