The Historical Evolution of Banfu Town

In the first year of Jiaqing, Qing Dynasty (1796), the construction of Furong Sha Xiaowei began. Prior to this, the western part of Banfu was a sea area, and no land had been formed. Since then, the east and west parts of Banfu belong to different regions.

After the founding of People's Republic of China (PRC), Shenwan People's Commune was abolished on June 1965, and Banfu People's Commune and Shenwan People's Commune were established respectively.

Banfu Town (formerly Banfu People's Commune) was formally established independently on 1965. There are 9 brigades under its jurisdiction, namely Miaojiao, Banwei, Silian, Luwei, Shouwei, Guangfu, Shenwan, Admiralty and Huzhou.

1983165438+1October, Banfu People's Commune was changed into Banfu District.

1986 65438+February, Banfu District was changed to Banfu Town.
