Chen Jiong's solo exhibition "Flower Dream Road" of China Renmin University Art College opened in Gongwangfu.

Chen Jiong, an associate professor in the Department of Design, School of Art, Renmin University of China, held his solo exhibition "Chinese Dream" in Yuedaotang, Gongwangfu. Professor Zhao Fang, vice president of the Art College of Renmin University of China, attended the opening ceremony of the exhibition, which was presided over by Tang Keyang, an associate professor of the Art College of Renmin University of China.

Chen Jiong, Ph.D., graduated from the Central Academy of Fine Arts, and is an associate professor at the Art College of China Renmin University. He has published works in many core periodicals, newspapers and other media such as Decoration, Art Nouveau, Meiyuan and News Frontline.

This exhibition by Chen Jiong, a teacher of Art College of China Renmin University, brings together more than 30 works he created in recent years, which are divided into two categories: painting and woodwork. Through a large amount of data collection, part of the landscape of the ancient city was restored, and the works presented the appearance of old Beijing such as the Summer Palace, the Forbidden City, Xuanwu Gate, the ancient city wall and the Hall of Supreme Harmony. Wooden installation works are mainly divided into "He" series and "Water" which can be spliced and combined.

In teacher Chen Jiong's view, the traditional wooden architecture in China has a "temperature": the end of the life of trees just means the beginning of the "life" of houses and furniture made of wood, and the life with "temperature" always flows between natural and artificial construction, and goes on and on. This is not only the tradition created by Chinese style, but also the presentation of an ancient concept.

Teacher Chen Jiong from the Department of Design, School of Art, China Renmin University combined beauty with structure, painting with carpentry, which made the ancient wooden structure show new vitality and pushed the building components to a new height. As Teacher Chen Jiong said, they are all related to the ancient city, and they all come from the crumbling back of the abandoned wooden city. One is painting, and the other is making. But "creation" has nothing to do with "usefulness", and the impressionist picture is not a way of "painting what it looks like".
