History of Sino-Russian Daosheng Bank Building

Initially, Sino-Russian Dawson Bank Shanghai Branch was located at No.29 Banque de France on the Bund, with an area of 1899. The bank purchased the Bund plot 15 from Eaton, and started the construction of the Sino-Russian Dawson Bank Building, and 1902 was completed.

19 10 Sino-Russian Daosheng Bank merged with another Russian-French joint venture bank, Northern Bank, and changed its name to Russian-Asian Bank. After the October Revolution, the head office was nationalized by the Soviet regime. The bank is headquartered in Paris and continues to operate in China.

1926, the head office of China-Russia Daosheng Bank went bankrupt and liquidated due to the failure of securities trading.

On September 6th of the same year, the branch in China also closed for liquidation, and the operation in Shanghai ended. At the same time, the Kuomintang government was established in Nanjing. In order to control and master China's financial industry, the Central Bank was established.
