From the four core elements of homestay design, talk about how to make a homestay.

On November 25th, 215, China issued the Guiding Opinions on Accelerating the Development of Life Service Industry and Promoting the Upgrading of Consumption Structure, which promoted the legalization of homestays. After that, several opinions on implementing the new concept of development, accelerating agricultural modernization and realizing the goal of a well-off society in an all-round way and guiding opinions on promoting green consumption were successively published to encourage the vigorous development of leisure agriculture and rural tourism, and to develop rural leisure and holiday products such as leisure farms, rural hotels, characteristic homestays, self-driving camping and outdoor sports in a planned way.

Although the design of B&B is different from previous hotels, and our country also strongly supports it in policy, it still needs a lot of thought to do a good job. Then, what is the way to do it so as not to "jump on the street" and what is the core element of its design?

core elements 1: site selection

1. Extensible consumption level (stay)

Stay time guarantee: leisure and holiday-oriented tourist destinations are preferred (tourists stay for 1-2.5 days) as the site selection of the hotel;

2. Economic consumption power of tourists

Basic guarantee of tourists: it is advisable to drive no more than 2.5 hours from developed urban agglomerations, and the number of tourists directly related can reach more than 2 million per year, which is conducive to sustainable operation;

3. Climate, resources and environment

Guarantee of climatic conditions: consider the influence of off-peak season, humidity, extreme weather and other influences on architectural design caused by climate differences among the four seasons;

4. Traffic accessibility

Environmental protection of the site: sight, slope and aspect, environmental conditions for carrying out experience activities, etc.

core element 2: name

for homestays, name is part of marketing. The positioning of the hotel is to start with a name. A good name can convey the theme, orientation, environment, temperament, scenes and selling points of the hotel, reflect the resources and environment of the place, such as crossing the cloud mountain residence, the island residence in Baisha, the No.5 Valley ... and also convey the owner's mind and temperament, such as the wilderness of joy, seclusion, hometown residence, Huajiantang and so on.

1. Names should also be based on principles

Poetic names attract popularity; Names that highlight the theme are more easily perceived; Rich names have more sharing characteristics; Catchy names are good for communication and memory.

2, the name should also locate the theme

The location of the hotel determines the resources it can rely on, and also determines the theme characteristics of the hotel to a certain extent. The ultimate expression and utilization of cultural and natural resources is the basis for designing a lifestyle:

If the hotel relies on the flower sea, it can be designed with the warm and romantic atmosphere of flowers;

If we rely on rural pastoral, we should focus on exploring the slow life experience of farmers;

if you are close to the snow-capped mountains, you can highlight the holy temperament and look for the unique advantages of the plateau environment;

if you rely on ancient towns and streets, you should fully respect history and folk culture;

if you are in the mountains and Woods, you should focus on blending with the environment and experience.

core element 3: architectural design

for homestays, architectural design needs feelings and logical thinking. Compared with traditional hotels, there are great differences in site selection, scale, architectural style, guest rooms, etc. Whether it is rebuilt or newly built, it is to better extract the architectural language in history and humanities.

Architectural design can be divided into two types:

1. Old houses are transformed into homestays

Old houses are living history and culture, and the design of homestays should make them glow with new life brilliance and better inherit culture.

Strategy of transforming the B&B: Preserve the original cultural memory of the building to the maximum extent, and make necessary repairs to the building with local materials

a, add a wooden entrance canopy, and highlight the entrance of the B&B while sheltering from the wind and rain.

b, repair the old broken windows.

c, use wood and thatch as materials to build a gazebo, design the grey space of the hotel, and highlight the rural theme of the hotel.

d, using local materials, paving sidewalks and roadside landscape sketches with local stones.

e, use natural stones and green plants as landscape walls.

2. Newly-built homestays

Newly-built does not mean abandoning local history and humanities, but refining the architectural language in history and humanities. Innovation is for better inheritance and development. Although the building is newly-built, its roots are deeply rooted in history and culture.

Strategy of newly-built homestays: Focus on reflecting local culture, and choose more local building materials to enrich architectural modeling.

3. Material selection for B&B: Choose materials with high integration with nature, highlighting ecology and culture.

4. Space:

The transition space between indoor and outdoor is a key design of the hotel. Balcony, terrace and other spaces can extend the range of people's activities from indoor to outdoor, and even in some areas, they can be skillfully designed in combination with the existing terrain or vegetation of the site, so as to better integrate with the environment.

core element 4: detail and environmental design

detail design: pay attention to the detail design of the hotel room, and the details will be perfect;

external environment: comfortable and pleasant courtyard design, private, interesting and story-telling;

more attention should be paid to the experience of pedestrians on road pavement;

The identification system should be combined with theme features and environmental atmosphere;

a homestay must have a strong experience, and it is difficult to sustain it by feelings alone. It is a long process to do a good job in the painstaking efforts, time spent and the return of investment costs, but in any case, I believe that after serious efforts, hard work, good promotion and marketing, gains will follow.
