Why is Mount Mustag called the "Father of Icebergs"

In the southeast of Pamirs, known as the "roof of the world", there is a Mustag Mountain, which is the first in Kunlun. Kunlun Mountain is the longest mountain system in Asia and one of the highest and longest mountain systems in the world. In the past, Kunlun Mountain was divided into three sections: east, middle and west. The peaks of West Kunlun Mountain are Mustag Peak and Gong Geer Sister Peak, which are1500-2500m higher than the surrounding peaks. These peaks come down in one continuous line with other parts of the West Kunlun Mountains, and have been uplifted and eroded highlands since ancient times. No matter in ancient times, Mesozoic era or Cenozoic era, it was mainly uplifted. Especially since the late Cenozoic era, with the uplift of the whole Qinghai-Tibet Plateau, Mount Mustag-Gong Geer has been further uplifted, thus maintaining a condescending posture. Bird's-eye view of Mustag Ata, which is a crescent mountain with its back facing west, 16 glacier flows in all directions. Except for a 2 1km long Grand Canyon glacier in the east, the other three 15 glaciers are wide-tailed glaciers at the foot of the mountain. The western slope of Mustag is a complete and rare glacier type-ice cap, which, together with the typical U-shaped trough valley and glacier canyon, is more profound and mysterious. The whole area of glaciers in Mustag and Gong Geer Mountains is about 650 square kilometers, with a total storage capacity of about 45 billion cubic meters, equivalent to more than 300 Ming Tombs reservoirs! Such rich water resources can continuously supply the production and living water needed by people at the foot of the mountain. Cities such as Kashi, Hotan and shache, with annual precipitation of only a few tens to a hundred centimeters, are still oases full of wild animals, flocks of cattle and sheep, clear lakes and swamps, and gurgling rivers. Therefore, whenever I see the solid, steady and broad Mustag Snow Peak, I look like a kind old man, wearing a white hat, sitting solemnly on the top of the mountain. Therefore, Mustapha Atta won the reputation of "Father of Icebergs".
