Airport service

The terminal building of Taiyuan Airport has added security channels and replaced information display equipment, which greatly improved the boarding and pick-up conditions of passengers. With the increasing number of passengers entering and leaving Taiyuan Airport, the airport has added two domestic flight safety inspection channels and one international flight safety inspection channel on the original basis, which has shortened the waiting time of passengers' security inspection and changed the queuing phenomenon of passengers waiting for inspection during the previous flight peak hours, which is very popular among Chinese and foreign passengers. At the same time, electronic display columns are added at the boarding gate and baggage claim area, and the original repeated flight information display screen is replaced by large electronic color screen, which not only increases the number of flight information, but also changes the previous phenomenon of slow running speed and small passenger flow, so that passengers can understand the flight dynamics more timely, accurately and comprehensively. The perfection of new facilities has provided great convenience for the vast number of passengers to take the plane and pick up the plane to enter the station.

Five security airports in northern China were selected for the 2008 Olympic Games and the 13 Paralympic Games, and relevant standards and mandatory norms were formulated by the IOC and the state. As one of them, Taiyuan Airport specially invited relevant departments and experts to inspect barrier-free facilities. By listening to reports, checking drawings, on-the-spot investigation and other forms, the expert group made a detailed inspection of the airport from the aspects of organization, management, design and renovation, and found that the relevant departments attached importance to and adopted barrier-free design in the renovation of the old terminal and the construction of the new terminal. Considering the limited toilets for the disabled, the airport specially designed unisex toilets, which improved the utilization rate of toilets for the disabled. For the convenience of disabled people in wheelchairs, the airport has a mirror in the elevator so that they can see the displayed floor from the mirror without turning around.

Airport expressway

On September 26th, 20 10, Taiyuan Wusu International Airport Expressway officially started construction. At present, Wusu International Airport has only one entrance and exit, and the traffic volume of Yutai Road itself has reached saturation. Coupled with the confluence of vehicles in Longcheng Street, Yutai Road and the transfer hub from Longcheng Street to Wusu are very congested during peak hours, becoming bottleneck sections. Therefore, the east section of Longcheng Street will build a dedicated passage that can directly reach the airport terminal. After completion, if you drive to the airport along Longcheng Street, you don't have to bypass Yutai Road and the existing roads at the airport. You can directly reach the terminal and parking lot through expressway, and the time to reach the airport will be shorter.

Expressway Project of Taiyuan Wusu Airport starts from Longcheng Street to Yutai Road in the north and ends at Taiyuan Wusu Airport in the south. It is parallel to Yutai Road and the existing Airport Road. In this project, there are viaducts across Yutai Road Interchange, Longcheng Street, Wusu Interchange and existing Airport Road, with a total length of 3. 166 km.

Taiyuan Airport Expressway Project is expected to be completed and opened to traffic on September 20th11.
