The best route strategy for viewing colorful forests in western Sichuan

When traveling during the National Day holiday, there won't be a sea of tourists. A beautiful and sparsely populated colorful forest route in western Sichuan, the colorful forest along the Hulu Sea dangling during the National Day holiday, xinduqiao and Zhonglu are all in the stage of turning green and yellow.

Day 1: Chengdu-Danba Aspect: Dadu River Scenery | Suopo Diaolou

Drive: about 6 hours;

Altitude: Suopo Tibetan village is about 1800 meters above sea level.

Accommodation: Sopoji-Yegu B&B.

The second day: Deep exploration of Danba ~ Middle Tibetan Village ~ Highlights of Dangling Village: Exploration of Middle Tibetan Village | Empty Mountain Afternoon Tea | Tibetan Village along Geshizha River+Valley

Driving distance: about 2.5H from Zhonglu to Huangling Village.

Altitude: Hangkong Village is about 3400 meters above sea level.

Accommodation: Zangling Tibetan B&B or other Tibetan inns in Dangling Village.

Day 3: Exploring the Secret Lake of Plateau-Hulu Sea Highlights: Hanging Hulu Sea | Wild Hot Springs | Primitive Forest Hiking

Self-driving: It takes about 2 hours from Huangling Village to Danba County.

Altitude: Huluhai is about 4 100 meters above sea level.

Accommodation: Danba Ji Mei Hotel or Danba Beautiful Valley Hotel.

Remarks:

1. The meals on the road need to be prepared on the same day.

2. It takes about 3-4 hours to walk from Huangling Village to Huluhai, and it takes about 1.5-2 hours to go downhill. You can also ride a horse for a part of the road. Please refer to the instructions on the home page for specific tour guides.

Day 4: Danba ~ Bamei ~ Tagong ~ xinduqiao Aspect: Yak Valley Scenery | Yala Snow Mountain | Moshi Park | Tagong Grassland | Muya Temple

Driving distance: about 4 hours;

Altitude: Bamei is about 3400 meters, Tagong grassland is about 3700 meters.

Accommodation: xinduqiao Minshan Traveler Mu Xin Hotel or Kang Shu Impression or Black Highland Barley Manor Hotel.

Day 5: xinduqiao ~ Moon Lake ~ xinduqiao Aspect: Moon Lake Scenery (Lotus Sea) | Jiagenba Village &; Autumn colors of Peng Broussy

Self-driving: It takes about 2 hours to drive from xinduqiao to Moon Lake.

Altitude: Moon Lake is about 3400m above sea level, and Lotus Lake at the top of the mountain is about 4 100m above sea level.

Accommodation: xinduqiao Minshan Traveler Mu Xin Hotel or Kang Shu Impression or Black Highland Barley Manor Hotel.

Remarks:

1. On this day, you need to prepare a road meal for lunch, or bring camping equipment and afternoon tea by the lake.

Moon Lake is at the foot of the mountain, you can drive to the lake, and then walk around the lake for about 2 hours (good scenery on the way around the lake); Lotus Lake is at the top of the mountain. You can walk up the mountain for 3-5 hours or ride a motorcycle. There are wild hot springs halfway up the mountain. If it is not recommended to go to Lotus Lake for a day trip, it is better to spend more time in Moon Lake. Please refer to the notes on the home page for details.

Altitude: Ya Jiageng is about 3800 above sea level.
