If the gross profit margin is set at 45%,
Then the selling price in kung pao chicken is: selling price = cost /( 1- gross margin) = 5.40/(1-45%) = 9.81yuan. According to this calculation, the chef will set the price of kung pao chicken at around 10 yuan/serving.
