This does not conform to the provisions of China's labor law. Employers often have a certain coercive power to collect deposits, while workers are often weak. According to the provisions of Article 9 of China's Labor Contract Law, when concluding a labor contract, the employer shall not collect the deposit, security deposit, mortgage and related property from the employee in any form;

The Notice on Prohibiting Employers from Charging Employees in Violation of Regulations also clearly stipulates that if an employer collects fees from individual employees when recruiting employees, it shall order the employer to immediately return the employees.
