Hubei Daye belongs to Huangshi City.

Daye is a county-level city under the jurisdiction of Hubei Province and is managed by Huangshi City. It is located in the southeast of Hubei Province, on the south bank of the middle reaches of the Yangtze River. Known as "a golden town of a hundred miles, a cornucopia in the south of the Yangtze River", it has a mining and smelting history of more than 3,000 years and a county-building history of 1000 years.

In the fifth year of Song Gande (AD 967), the county was founded, which means "Daxing Smelting Furnace" and was named "Daye". 1994, Daye was removed from the county to set up a city, which was listed as the first batch of resource-exhausted cities in China and the pilot city of urban-rural integration in Hubei Province.
