Xiyuan

The former site of Xitang Xiyuan is located in Jijia Lane, West Street. It belonged to the Zhu family in the Ming Dynasty and was later sold. There are trees, flowers, rockeries, pavilions and pools in the park, and the scenery is beautiful. On the east side of the rockery, there is the "Tingtaoxuan" teahouse. There is a white pine tree on the rockery, which is several feet high, hence the name "Voice of the Wind". There are small bridges and flowing water in the park, and there are stone halls. The park is surrounded by brick corridors, waterside pavilions, curved bridges, rockeries, pavilions and artificial waterfalls. Several inns built next to this scenic spot are also named after this, such as Xiyuan Yaju, Xiyuan Inn, Xiyuan Post Office and so on.

Zuiyuan

Siheyuan was built in the Ming Dynasty and is now well preserved. There are three entrances in the park: the main hall and the cloister, with green stones in Bichi and green bamboo in the cloister, which are fascinating. The most impressive thing is the brick pocket bridge in the yard, which is only used by people. It is exquisite, beautiful and practical. Wang's poems and books have been handed down from generation to generation. Grandpa is good at calligraphy, and father and son are obsessed with printmaking. The bookstore in the garden "Yixiangzhai" has a series of prints of Wang's "Water Town Charm".

Yu Yan promenade

The most famous landscape of Tanggu Town is a corridor with a length of nearly 1000 meters and simple shape. The so-called corridor is actually a street with a roof. Some of the verandahs in Xitang are by the river, some are in the middle, and some have benches with backs along the river for people to rest. The promenade is mainly made of brick and wood, paved with monochrome tiles and built along the river, commonly known as "falling into the water". It can not only shelter from the rain, but also stop to see the scenery. There are also small shops selling all kinds of goods along the way. Walking in it, a feeling of nostalgia arises spontaneously.

Ginkgo biloba in Lu Fen

There are two ginkgo trees, a man and a woman, at the entrance of Fenbang Lane, Posts and Telecommunications Road, Tangxi Town. It was planted more than 600 years ago during the Hongwu period of the Ming Dynasty. Ginkgo leaves are full of leaves and branches. Ginkgo biloba is13.5m high and 3.92m in circumference. The female ginkgo is 9.35 meters high and 3.08 meters in circumference. The tomb owner Bong Luk, a native of Xitang, is an honest and knowledgeable official. He was a teacher of Zhao Wenhua, a politician in the Ming Dynasty. Now there is no trace of the tomb, only the stone man and stone horse around the tomb and these two ancient ginkgo trees still stand here to confirm this history.

Shipinong

Before the Ming Dynasty, there were four surnames in ancient towns: Tang, Wang, Zhao and Lu. After the Ming Dynasty, there were other big names such as Ni, Jiang, Zhu, Bu and Lu, and many deep houses were built. Up to now, there are 122 alleys with different lengths in the whole town, among which there are 5 alleys over 100 meters, and the most distinctive open-air alley is called Shipi Lane.

Pinong is located in Xiaxi Street, Xizhen, at the western end of Zhongfutang. It is an open-air alley sandwiched between two houses, which was built in the late Ming and early Qing dynasties. In Tangxi Town 122 alleys with different lengths, Shipi Lane is the narrowest, with a width of only 1 m, the narrowest place is only 0.8m, and the total length is 68m. Paved with 166 fast stone.

Zhongfutang

This is the private residence of the Qing royal family. The Wang family originated from the controlled division of the Song Dynasty empire. Wang Yuan escorted Song Gaozong Zhao Gou to the south, and his descendants disappeared in Hangjiahu area. During the Shunkang period of the Qing Dynasty, one of the descendants moved to Xitang and built this mansion with seven entrances and one back garden, which is a typical residential style in the Ming and Qing Dynasties. The third entrance is the main hall. In the center of the hall, there is a plaque inscribed by Chen Haining Bangyan, a scholar of Hanlin during the reign of Kangxi, warning future generations that "doing more good deeds on weekdays will surely make future generations get good results".

Dong Tang Street.

The busiest commercial street in the ancient town is NO. Dongtang Street, also called Xitang Bar Street. Close to Anjing Bridge and Wine Culture Museum, it has beautiful scenery and many bars, shops and inns. Dong Tang Street is one of the most prosperous streets in Xitang from the Republic of China to the liberation period. There are many restaurants in Dongtang Street. There used to be a saying that "where there are restaurants, there are buildings around Xutang River".
