According to legend, in ancient times, there was an ancient tung tree on one side of this mountain. Under the tree where the house was built, a strange man collected herbs and practiced medicine to help the world, asked his name, and then smiled and pointed to Tong, who was called the Scout and named after this mountain. Later generations respectfully called it "the originator of traditional Chinese medicine" and called it the holy land of medicine ancestors.
