Customs of Spring Festival in Liyang, Jiangsu

On New Year's Eve, the whole family get together for dinner, and then set off firecrackers before the whole family goes to bed to show the peace of the year. Get up on the first day of the second lunar month to set off firecrackers to show the opening of the first day of the new year ~ then go home to drink jujube soup and shout New Year greetings, and adults will give you lucky money.

My family basically does this every new year.
