What scenic spots are worth visiting in Shanxi?
I. Pingyao Ancient City
A famous historical and cultural city with a history of nearly 3,000 years, it is one of the four best-preserved ancient cities in China. As the financial center of China in the late Qing Dynasty, the cultural atmosphere of Shanxi merchants can be felt everywhere in the ancient city. ? The streets of the ancient city are "earth-like", climbing the ancient city wall of Pingyao and overlooking the whole city.
At Rishengchang Bank, you might as well ask the old shopkeeper in robes and mandarin jackets to write you a manuscript in the earliest way. Entering the ancient city is free, and you need to buy an ancient city pass to climb the city wall and visit scenic spots such as the ticket number.
Second, Yungang Grottoes
It was carved by the royal family of the Northern Wei Dynasty, which ruled northern China at that time, and concentrated the technology, manpower and material resources of the whole country. It is one of the four largest grottoes in China. The scenic spot is divided into landscape area and karst cave group, among which karst cave group is the biggest attraction and is divided into three areas. At present, about 40 caves are open to the public.
The third cave is the largest cave in Yungang, and the fifth and sixth caves are double caves with exquisite murals, which are the most representative caves in Yungang grottoes. There is also a grotto museum in the scenic area, which displays the remains of grottoes and understands the history of grottoes.
Third, jinci museum
Built to commemorate Yu Shu, the second son of Zhou Wuwang, there are dozens of ancient buildings in the temple, which is famous for its magnificent architecture and superb statue art. It is the only precious historical and cultural heritage in China that integrates ancient sacrificial architecture, gardens, sculptures, murals and inscriptions.
In Jinci, there is also a Jinci inscription written by Li Shimin, Emperor Taizong, which is very precious.
