Donghua University-Raffles International Design Institute was established in September 1994. It is the first batch of Chinese-foreign cooperatively-run schools approved by the state in Shanghai, and it is also a secondary college under Donghua University.

Three-year undergraduate course. A year is divided into four semesters (according to the method of foreign semesters).
