The latest US visa application process+required information

As we all know, American visas are really difficult to apply for. So what should I pay attention to when I apply for a visa in the United States in the future? What do I need to prepare in advance to apply for a visa? Now let's go and have a look.

American visa

There are many kinds of American visas. Usually, the American visas we apply for are non-immigrant types, mainly B and F, as shown in the following figure. This article mainly introduces how to apply for a class B visa! That is, we often say tourist visas, business visas, and visas for visiting relatives and friends.

Many small partners know that B visas are divided into B 1 and B2, so how should they be distinguished? Don't waste time, let me tell you ~

B 1 refers to going to the United States for business, short-term business visits, attending meetings, etc.

B2 refers to traveling to the United States, visiting relatives, friends or seeking medical help;

However, the visa types of B 1/B2 are generally issued together, so when you get the visa shown in the figure below, you can basically go to the United States in the next 10 year ~

Here's how to teach you the American visa page. What do we need to check after getting an American visa?

What are the conveniences of having an American visa in hand?

If you think that an American visa can only go to one country in the United States, you are all wet, and it is also a "waste" of your hard-earned American visa ~

It is no exaggeration to say that when you get an American visa, the doors of the world will basically open for you. Next, I'll tell you how convenient it is to have an American visa in hand ~

1. Countries with US visas can simplify data applications.

Canada, no proof of property is needed, and the signing rate is falling again and again! Jia Ge really studied with American brothers, and some people even signed visas to go to the United States in order to get it done.

Argentina needs to pay $50 for electronic travel authorization;

Second, countries with American visas can enter the country without a visa.

South Korea can stay in transit for 30 days without a visa. Pay attention to transit, that is to say, your trip must go to the United States through South Korea, or return from the United States through South Korea. Only going to Korea still requires a visa in advance;

2 Singapore, you can stay visa-free for 4 days. Note that it is a transit. The transit here means that your trip must go to a third country via Singapore, and you can show your American visa and your ticket to the third country within 96 hours at the airport. Only to Singapore, you need to apply for a visa in advance;

3 Philippines, visa-free stay for 7 days;

4 Georgia, you can stay visa-free for 90 days;

5 Mexico, you can stay without a visa 180 days;

6 Bermuda, you can stay visa-free for 90 days;

7 Panama, you can stay for 30 days without a visa;

8 Chile, you can stay for 90 days without a visa;

9 Colombia, visa-free stay for 90 days;

Seeing this, do you have more expectations for your American visa?

Next, let's get down to business and tell you in detail how to apply for an American visa.

Visa processing flow

First, determine the type of visa processing.

The type of visa application mentioned here is not the difference between type B and type F mentioned before, but the purpose of your visit. Once you have determined the purpose of your visit, your follow-up materials preparation, interview preparation, etc. Should be carried out around this purpose.

① Travel, there is nothing to explain, just prepare according to the travel itinerary;

(2) visiting relatives. If you have relatives in the United States, I suggest you follow the purpose of visiting relatives, because if you don't see your relatives all the way to the United States, the interviewer will think that your visit is unreasonable and doubt the purpose of your visit, which will lead to the refusal of the visa; The premise is that the status of your relatives in the United States must be reasonable and legal, otherwise it will also affect your application for a US visa;

(3) Visiting relatives and friends, if it is convenient for your friends in the United States to send you invitations and their status is reasonable and legal, you can consider visiting relatives and friends; If it is inconvenient or you think your friend's information is not helpful to your application, then you can travel;

4 business, if you want to go to the United States for meetings or business trips, then I suggest that you'd better let American companies send you invitations and apply for them according to business purposes; Let me add one more sentence here. If you apply together with your colleagues, even if your travel purpose is not business, then the embassy will be suspicious. Of course, the company's group building or incentive travel is another matter.

Second, fill in the form online, pay fees and make an appointment for an interview.

A friend wants to ask, do you have to go for an interview for an American visa? Is there an interview-free one?

Of course, you have to meet one of the following two conditions before you can go to the embassy for an interview:

① The validity period of the latest visa to the United States is no more than 12 months from the date of this application. The visa type of this application is the same as last time. There is an old passport, and the US visa page has expired, and ten fingerprints have been provided. For example, the B 1, B2 and B1B2 visas have been subject to administrative review, and the date of the visa page must be after the date of administrative review ("Clear!

②/kloc-under 0/4 years old or 80 years old (including the above applicants who have not been refused visas;

This article just wants to share with you the process of going to the embassy for an interview, so I won't go into details about the interview ~

Tips:

Occasionally, due to temporary leave or unexpected events, the embassy or consulate will suspend the interview scheduled for the same day or in the next few days, so it is very necessary to pay close attention to the embassy's dynamics before the interview. Once this happens, don't panic, it won't have any bad influence on your visa result. Just re-select the interview time two days after the scheduled interview date.

Analysis of interview skills

As I said before, besides preparing relevant supporting materials before the interview, what else should I prepare? It is the preparation of communication skills during the interview! I will introduce interview skills in a separate space, which shows how important communication with visa officers is to get a US visa!

Usually our real interview time is only 3- 10 minutes. In this short time, it is particularly important to make full use of the information you carry, give full play to your talents and dispel the doubts of visa officers.

In the eyes of visa officers, every American visa applicant has an immigration tendency. Applicants will not stay in the United States for a long time unless they can prove that they have no immigration tendency and have strong domestic binding force.

I have summarized that in the process of interviewing visa officers, we should probably pay attention to the following eight aspects:

① Dress: Dress should be reasonable and formal, matching your identity and travel purpose; Applicants who travel and visit relatives and friends suggest casual clothes; Business candidates suggest formal attire, and women can wear light makeup; Overall clean and generous;

② Itinerary arrangement: The answer should be consistent with the DS- 160 form, and the specific city attractions should be informed actively. For example, we will travel, leave on April 5th, return to China on April 15, and plan to go to Los Angeles, Las Vegas and San Francisco.

③ Travel experience: Some developed countries from Europe and Australia can also take the initiative to show some travel photos of these countries to add points;

④ Work: Take the initiative to show the employment certificate, which is consistent with the information in the DS- 160 form; Long working years and relatively stable work experience make it easier to dispel the doubts of visa officers; Engaged in sensitive industries such as IT, police, aerospace technology, Huawei technology, major research institutes, military academies, secret-related units, etc., visa officers may ask more questions. It is recommended to prepare your resume and company profile in advance in case the visa officers ask for supplementary information;

⑤ Assets: You may ask if you have a house or a car, answer truthfully, and take the initiative to show relevant certificates; Visa officers prefer to see a reasonable fixed income, which is the same as the above-mentioned stable work. For example, older or retired people have a relatively stable pension or income, as long as the purpose of travel is clear (going to the United States to see children or travel, the signing rate is relatively guaranteed; Remember not to temporarily deposit a large sum of money in the bank, and ask relatives and friends to borrow some temporarily. Anyone can collect a lot of money in a short time, so it can't prove to the visa officer that this is your asset;

⑥ Information: Usually, we will bring more than N materials to the interview, but in fact, most information visa officers will not read them. If the visa officer thinks that your communication is very smooth and your reason for going to the United States is reasonable, he will give you a visa without looking at any information you carry. Even so, I suggest you bring all the documents you can prepare. When the visa is in the interview, I feel it is necessary to look at your information, just pass the visa. If you can't get it, you may cry. Remember never to provide false information and materials. Once seen by the visa officer, it will be very difficult for you to go to the United States in the future, and you may even be refused a visa permanently.

⑦ Communication: When answering questions, enunciate clearly, confidently, naturally, generously and appropriately; If you don't hear the visa officer's question clearly, don't answer it in a hurry. You can politely ask the visa officer to repeat it. When multiple applicants are interviewing in the same window, they can choose one respondent to answer questions. When asked, others should take the initiative to answer questions, and don't rush to answer them at will. If you bring relevant proof materials to the questions raised by the visa officer, you can show the materials to the visa officer actively while answering the questions, which can increase the persuasiveness;

8 Family: Newly-married people may ask about love, marriage time and even how they met; A family of three may ask for information about their children; If you are going to visit children or other relatives and friends in the United States, you must clearly understand each other's information. When the visa officer asks relevant questions, you should take the initiative to answer them and never hide them.

The preparation of communication skills before the interview is very important for you to successfully get an American visa! If you still feel uncertain when you see this, I suggest you find a reliable agency, which can give you a lot of professional and useful advice ~

I would like to remind all my friends that all information and skills must be prepared to be true.

EVUS registration guide

What is 1.EVUS?

EVUS registration, the U.S. government stipulates that all China passport holders with 10B 1, B2, B 1/B2 visas need to renew their EVUS registration before entering the United States.

There are four situations that require EVUS registration:

(1) You need to register before entering the United States for the first time, valid for 2 years, and need to re-register after the expiration;

(2) If the passport is valid for less than 2 years, the validity period of EVUS will expire 6 months before the passport is valid. After the new passport is issued, it still needs to be re-registered, valid for 2 years;

③ In any case of using a US visa (such as entering the Philippines with a US visa without a visa), you need to register for EVUS before you travel. If you have registered within 2 years, you don't need to register again, just print and carry it directly;

④ Ordinary tourists from China are not required to visit Saipan, but China passport holders with US visas 10 B 1, B2, B 1/B2 must register with EVUS in advance before entering the country;

What happens after EVUS registers:

(1) Registration means that you can go to the United States smoothly, but the customs has the right to repatriate according to the situation;

(2)② To be determined-your registration cannot be decided immediately, please wait patiently, and the result will usually be given within 72 hours;

③UNSUCCESSFULENROLLMENT failed to register-that is to say, you have no right to travel to the United States for the time being. It may be that the information filled in is wrong, or the EVUS system is abnormal. Just wait 24 hours and then re-register.

The ④DEPARTMENTOFSTATE visa has been revoked-it's so sad, which means that not only the registration of EVUS failed, but also your American visa was revoked.

Most EVUS registrations will be processed within a few minutes after submission, but the maximum time will be 72 hours.
