2. Jiayuguan: Jiayuguan City is located in the middle of Hexi Corridor in Gansu Province, and is named after Jiayuguan, the western starting point of the Great Wall of Wan Li. Jiayuguan means "beautiful valley". It is located at the narrowest part of the western corridor, with Qilian Mountain in the south, Mazong Mountain in the north, Jiuquan Basin in the east and flat Gobi in the west.
3. Jinchang: Jinchang is located in the east of Hexi Corridor in Gansu Province. Jinchang, named after the Jinchuan River flowing through the territory, takes the golden word, and takes the Chang word because Jinchang is separated from Yongchang County, and the two words are combined into one. Fanhe County was established in Han Dynasty, called Yongchangwei in Ming Dynasty, and changed to Yongchang County in Qing Dynasty. Jinchang left Yongchang County in 198 1 year. Jinchang is rich in nickel resources, with large reserves and high grade, ranking second in the world among similar deposits, and is known as the capital of nickel.
4. Yuzhong: county name. As early as the Spring and Autumn Period and the Warring States Period, Qin "carved thousands of miles, with rivers as the boundary, tired stones as the city, and trees and elms as the plug". Because the county seat is located in Yushu plug, it is named Yuzhong. Yuzhong County was founded in the thirty-second year of Qin Shihuang (2 14 BC).
5. Silver: Silver is located in the middle of Gansu Province and the northeast of Lanzhou City. As early as the Hongwu period of the Ming Dynasty, there were factories here to mine and smelt gold and silver. Because most of the mines mined are silver, it is also called "silver factory", hence the name silver. ?
6. Jingtai: Jingtai is located in the middle of Gansu Province, the transitional zone between the Loess Plateau and the Tengger Desert. It is said to be named after Jingtai, the year number of Ming Daizong. Also, when the county was established, the county territory was composed of the former Jingyuan County North District and the former Hongshui County. Replace Jingyuan district with Jing character, and replace Hongshui county with Thai character of Yongtai. First, it was proposed to be Jingtai, and later the homophonic word Jingzi happened to be Jingtai, meaning eternal prosperity, national prosperity and people's safety, hence the name Jingtai.
7. Wuwei: Wuwei is located in the east of Hexi Corridor in Gansu Province, upstream of Shiyang River. Wuwei was occupied by the Hungarian mother in the early Western Han Dynasty. In the second year of founding ceremony in the Western Han Dynasty (BC 12 1), Emperor Wu of the Han Dynasty sent Huo Qubing to conquer Hexi. In order to commemorate this victory, it was later named Wuwei, and Wuwei County was established to show that the military strength and martial arts of the Western Han Dynasty reached Hexi.
The western Han dynasty was called ancient Tibet, and the eastern Han dynasty was renamed Wuwei. Liangzhou Wei was changed in the Ming Dynasty and Wuwei County in the Qing Dynasty. 1985 changed to Wuwei city. ?
8. Tianshui: Located in the southeast of Gansu Province, the middle reaches of Weihe River and the upper reaches of Jialing River, it is the hub of Shaanxi, Gansu and Sichuan provinces. The origin of the name of Tianshui, "Qin Zhou Zhi" records: there is a lake in front of the county, and there is no increase or decrease in winter and summer, so it is named Tianshui.
According to legend, during the period of Emperor Wu of the Han Dynasty, one day in the southwest of Tianshui City, there was a sudden red light, lightning and thunder, and the sky shook and the ground sank. There was a big crack in the ground, and Tianshui poured in, thus forming a lake. Since then, it is said that the lake is connected with Tianhe, and the locals call it Tianshuijing. Later, Emperor Wu of the Han Dynasty built a city in Hudi and named it Tianshui. The name of Tianshui County began in the Five Dynasties. ?
9. Zhangye: Zhangye's place name originated from "expanding the country and connecting the western regions", which reflected Zhangye's position on the ancient Silk Road to some extent. Zhangye was originally the site where the Huns were king, so it was called Yaode. The Han Dynasty changed its name to Zhang Ye, which means to stretch China's arm and be "rich and powerful".
10, Pingliang: Pingliang is located in the east of Gansu Province, at the eastern foot of Liupanshan Mountain. In 358 AD, before Fu Jian wanted to cool down, he set up Pingliang County in Gaoping Town, so as to pacify the cool country, hence the name Pingliang.
