What is a new energy vehicle charging pile?

As the charging equipment of new energy vehicles, charging piles can be analogously understood as oil-gas tankers of conventional fuel vehicles. Charging piles are usually installed on the roadside of public construction sites, parking lots or residential quarters. Charging piles are divided into AC charging piles and DC charging piles according to the output current mode.

AC charging pile, which outputs AC electric energy to automobiles, is similar to AC chargers of mobile phones, computers and other household appliances. Through internal conversion, it transmits AC energy with specified parameters to electrical equipment.

DC charging pile, that is, output DC energy to the car. Commercial power (three-phase electricity) is introduced into the external end of the equipment, and alternating current is rectified (AC -DC conversion) inside the charging pile. Through the monitoring of the control center and the coordination of various components, the pile delivers DC power with specified size to the car battery, and the car charger can intelligently identify whether it is connected to the three-eye socket or the charging pile. Even if the power of the vehicle charger is 7kW, it will intelligently limit the charging power to the tolerable range of the access line to ensure the charging safety.

The above two kinds of AC charging are "slow charging", which takes a long time. The AC power supply is converted from a low-power car charger to DC to charge the battery. Charging with DC charging pile: When the electric vehicle is connected to AC power grid or DC power grid, DC power supply equipment with control and guidance functions is used. Generally, only pure electric vehicles on the market are equipped with DC charging function, which is what we call "fast charging".
