Self-driving tour

Beijing’s mood is in July. It’s the irritability and depression caused by the combination of scorching heat and heavy rain, and I need to follow the grassland and fly with the blue sky, so I chose this 4 and a half day trip to Beijing-Wengniu. This is because the information on the Denglanhe Grassland website is incomplete and there are not many pictures. The special landform of Wengniute, which combines grassland, wetland and desert, has long been deeply attracted to me.

Today I would like to introduce the first part of this trip, the beautiful grassland Lantern River with the words of wind and flowers.

Departing from Beijing, the destination of the day is Chifeng City. The weather is not good today and there is a strong shower. , but there are still some small views along the way. In the evening, we arrived at the pre-booked Warwick Hotel. This is a budget hotel with good reviews online. It has been officially put into use relatively recently, and the facilities are relatively new, clean and cheap.

We set off at 6:30 a.m. on the 28th and headed to the Denglonghe Grassland Tourist Area. This is 120 kilometers away from Chifeng and is an uncultivated and unpolluted place in Wengniute Banner. Currently, there are only a few base camps in the Denglonghe Grassland Tourist Area. There are no external charges for the yurts, and there are not many tourists. However, the local area is stepping up construction of roads and signs, so the days of free tourism may not last long.

The Lantern River Grassland covers an area of ??143 square kilometers and has charming green mountains. With lush vegetation, flowers everywhere, and hundreds of birds flying, it is a tourist attraction that integrates rivers, grasslands, forests, and mountains. There are two opinions about the name of the Lantern River Grassland: One is that "Denglan" is Mongolian. The full name is "Dennu Rigaole", which is a homophonic pronunciation of "Dennu Rigaole", which is translated into Chinese as the river on the swamp. Over the years, it has been rumored that the homophonic pronunciation was mistaken for the name of the river, and it became the Lantern River. Another saying comes from a beautiful Legend: There is a pair of magic lanterns hidden in Sanchadang Mountain. Every New Year's Eve, the magic lanterns go down the river to Dashimen. Those who are lucky enough to see the magic lanterns will have good luck and happiness, and their family will have a happy life here. The famous name is Lantern River.

This is an excellent place for wind power generation. There are large windmills standing high on the gentle slope. As he drove the car, he was gradually surrounded by a sea of ??flowers. Above my head, the whirring windmill danced around his body, and under his feet, the sky was filled with such a blooming, fiery enthusiasm. Infecting all things in the world, I got the clear blue and the whiteness that fell into it. I wish I could just lie down here and count the clouds above my head, and find the corresponding names for their lifelike postures. I wish I could just melt into this paradise on earth, accompanied by the fragrance of flowers, and let my dreams take a journey beyond imagination. Although this was the mid-summer afternoon in July, the wind was blowing coldly on the top of the mountain, and I didn’t feel warm at all wearing my jacket. Thinking that Beijing, 500 kilometers away, is suffering from the high temperature, I really feel for those sweaty brothers.

Where there are mountains, there must be water, and mountains and rivers are always dependent on each other. In such a place with abundant pasture, the nourishment of spring water is always indispensable.

The gurgling Shaolang River is pure and clear. The trickle flows from the Sanchaoshan Mountain at an altitude of more than 2,000 meters to the east. It twists and turns and runs happily on the Lantern River grassland, making the green grassland full of dancing beads and splashing jade. The beauty of elegance

When talking about the most famous monument here, the first one to recommend is the "Saihan Temple" with a history of more than 300 years. It is said to have been built during Kangxi's Northern Expedition. It was carved from a huge stone. It is simple, elegant, exquisite and unique. There is a "Saibei Lingfu Buddha" enshrined inside, which is still popular today. Saihan Temple, nestled among flowers and green grass, has become a well-known attraction in the Denglong River tourist area.

The grassland is full of scenery. The small villages that cannot be named and the farming areas mixed in the grassland are all visual surprises. I saw this small house beside a winding road. The stone courtyard walls and the blooming rapeseed flowers, together with the tinkling of the spring water in my ears, gave me that comfortable softness deep in my heart. The blooming sunflowers, pulling the potato flowers beside them, were woven into a ribbon, undulating rhythmically under the caress of the breeze.

This is a beautiful scene of nature, pure and pure. I wonder if when it becomes known to everyone, it will become the next Saihanba. If so, I pray that that day will come later.

Road Book: Start from Chifeng and take the G111 National Highway south, passing through two toll stations, the toll is 20 yuan. After exiting the second toll station, there is a narrow asphalt road on the right hand side, which leads to Keshiketeng Banner (right ascension line). Keep walking along the road, passing through Chutoulang Town and Damiao Town, and after about 100 kilometers, The place where you can see the big windmills is the Denglanhe Grassland. There is a small yurt resort here. If you don’t want to go back and go in the direction of Wudan, Wengniute Banner, you can go straight on 1. About 120 kilometers, when you are about to enter the boundary of Keshiketeng, there is a small road (Wudeng Line) on the right hand side. If you keep going, you will pass through Yihe Gong Township and Guangde Gong Town to reach your destination. The distance is about 120 kilometers. . Taking this road not only saves on tolls, but also provides picturesque scenery.

Tips: 1. Food: The grassland area is extremely delicious. Mutton is a favorite of carnivores, so you can try it.

2. Play: The powerful Mongolian iron-hoofed horses are available for riding. Many people come here just for riding.

3. Accommodation: It is most convenient to stay in Chifeng City when visiting here. It is now the peak tourist season, so it is best to book a room in advance.

4. Others: Sun protection, mosquito protection, and rain protection are essential in the grassland in summer. Few, people who go out often have experience, so I won’t go into detail.

5. Don’t drive over the grass in the depths of the grassland, and be sure to take photos on rutted roads.
