Jingbian County is located in the northwest of Shaanxi Province, southwest of Yulin City, on the southern edge of the Mu Us Desert, across the north and south of the ancient Great Wall, and at the junction of Shaanxi, Gansu, Ningxia and Inner Mongolia.
