3ds Max creates a luxurious Chinese restaurant for you.
The project is a small luxury resort hotel located in the Summer Palace. Its style has the characteristics of China classical gardens. This space is the Chinese restaurant in the hotel. When the design model is finalized, we carefully observe the whole space. The whole space is a typical traditional pattern of China, with an entrance in the middle and a landscape at the entrance. The left and right sides are called dining areas, with a row of windows on the left and a Chinese lattice partition on the right. When making this picture, we had enough time, spent a long time making a preliminary scheme model (the model structure is more detailed) and found a lot of suitable later materials (including visiting some similar restaurants), and spent a lot of thought.
The final effect:
Final renderings
I. Materials
The material is very simple, mainly including paint, lampshade, antique floor tile, wood veneer and sofa cloth, and other defaults are 3ds Max. (Figure 0 1)
We give the number of reflections of some materials to 2, which will greatly improve the rendering speed. Because of the short interval, the wooden venetian blinds will bounce off each other, which will cause some errors. We can give it a material package and turn off the GI reflection (this method is also applicable to the grating or the top surface of the hanging piece commonly used in tooling) (Figure 02-09).

Second, close-up details
After adjusting the materials, we found that the close-up of the space lacked details, such as the tableware on the table (it can also be added later). In order to increase the authenticity of the renderings, we'd better find some exquisite and suitable models to increase the details of the drawings. We found a set of European classical tableware and tablecloth in the model library. Western culture was introduced to China in the middle and late Qing Dynasty, and was widely used in the royal architecture and decoration in China, so European-style ornaments were chosen here, which increased the royal atmosphere of the space. Add a few pots of plant-wide models to add details (figure 10).
Third, lighting.
Exterior we can make an arc background, paste the appropriate exterior map on the lighting material, and then we can start lighting. (Figure 1 1)
Let's adjust the test parameters first, as shown in the figure (figure 12- 15). Pay attention to the parameters highlighted by the red line in the figure below, which are critical. Never adjust the error.

Figure 15
Next, we can distribute light. First of all, we use VRay surface light to simulate the skylight, and create VRay surface light with similar area from the outside at the position of doors and windows. (Figure 16)
We can see that after the skylight came in, the whole space was illuminated. Because of the fine details of the model, the effect is good, but the indoor light is missing. (Figure 17)
In order to create a sense of tranquility in the space, we decided to give priority to skylights, supplemented by indoor light, and try to reduce the light spots on the wall, so we only put VRay ball lights on several main lights. (Figure 18)
After testing, we found that we achieved the expected effect. At this time, we can increase the light subdivision and improve the parameters to make a big picture. (Figure 19)
Because the windows are latticed, the subdivision of all outdoor VRay lights must be increased to avoid noise. Indoor light can be subdivided (Figure 20), the parameters are adjusted as shown in Figure 2 1-22, and other parameters remain unchanged.

Fourth, rendering
Next, we started rendering, mainly using Photoshop. (Figures 23 and 24)
Figure 24
After the big picture is rendered, we need to adjust it later. First, we copy a layer and use the curve tool to brighten the space. Then you can find some Chinese decorative materials to increase the atmosphere of the space, such as lamp nails, couplets, window grilles and so on. (Figure 25)
Verb (short for verb) filtering
We give a photo filter in Photoshop and choose the cooling filter mode. The parameters are shown in the figure. (Figure 26)
Then press and hold the CTRL+ALT+SHIFT+~ keys to copy and merge a layer to the top, and add a Gao Fancha press and hold command (filter others) to the layer. The value is 1. (Figure 27)
Sixth, superposition
Then there is the superposition command, and the work is over here. (Figure 28-30)
