What is a standard room in a hotel?

A standard room in a hotel is usually a double room (standard double room). The main reason for placing two beds is that if even-numbered guests stay in the hotel, couples actually account for only a small proportion, and more are colleagues, friends, members of non-husband and wife tour groups and non-husband and wife relatives, such as father and son. They usually need to sleep in different beds. And even couples, some like to sleep in separate beds. Therefore, it is common to put two single beds of about 1.2 meters, which is called standard.

However, many hotels also have couple rooms with big beds, with only one big bed of 1.5 to 2 meters. The so-called standard room refers to the supporting facilities in the room, which should be equipped with: a double bed or two single beds, color TV, dental towels for two people, etc. Bathrooms and showers include 24-hour hot water and simple tea sets. This is the most common standard room. If there is a "star" level, these facilities will be upgraded with the increase of "stars". Supporting facilities will not increase.

The standard room area can be large or small, and there is no regulation. Only the supporting facilities are certain.
