I just came back from Dalian on September 21st. It was a self-guided tour. I stayed in Dalian for 5 days and 4 nights. I was basically close to you. I arrived in Dalian early and returned in the afternoon on the last day. I also checked a lot of information before. A lot of preparation was made. So it should be able to help you:

On the first day,

After arriving in Dalian, decide where to stay. In front of the train station, walk sideways to the Bohai Pearl Hotel and walk further forward. There is a Yadu Hotel for 120 yuan a night. , very convenient. Or you can find one near the train station. Rainbow Hotel, Donghao Hotel, and Sifang Shengshi next to the light rail are all fine. If they are expensive, stay in regular or standard rooms.

Then go to Jinshitan. The light rail from the train station goes directly to Jinshitan (8 yuan) and it takes 50 minutes. Must-visit attractions in Jinshitan: Dinosaurs Exploring the Sea and Beethoven (these two are together); Jinshi Garden; Wax Museum and Strange Stone Museum (these two are also together), Gold Coast. After buying tickets at Jinshitan, you can also buy a tour ticket (10 yuan) for the park. You can use the ticket to get on and off at various attractions in the park.

After coming back in the afternoon, I took a 2-car train at the train station to go to Xinghai Square to see the night view (Xinghai Square has the most beautiful night view - a must-go). For dinner, I tried their seafood porridge and steamed rice at the nearby Taitai Hao Porridge. Sea urchin, mackerel and leek dumplings. Take bus 22 or 23 back to the train station in the evening. If you still have energy, go to the nearby Qingniwaqiao Commercial Center (mainly shopping malls, don’t go there if you don’t want to shop, they are the same everywhere)

The next day, in front of the train station Take a tourist bus (10 yuan) at the bus station for sightseeing around Dalian, including Binhai Road. You can get up and down at any scenic spot along the way with your ticket (one-way, not reversible). On the way, there are all the highlights of Dalian. Must-visit attractions: Convention and Exhibition Center (showing the history and growth of Dalian), Fujiazhuang (mainly the place where Dalian people go to the sea, because it is famous, just take a look), Yanwoling Wedding Theme Park (10 The entrance fee is 1 yuan. The scenery at the General's Stone and the Warship is the most beautiful. You must go down and take a look. Although it looks high, the road is actually very short - you must go) and Beidaqiao (you can walk all the way from Yanwoling to Beidaqiao). The attractions are connected). You can just sit in the car and look at other scenic spots on the tour bus, which saves effort and is a feast for the eyes. For dinner, go to Tianjin Street next to the Bohai Pearl Tower in front of the train station. There is a seafood street walking in, so you can try the seafood there.

The third day: Bingyu Valley (3 hours one-way drive from Dalian) (a one-day trip is enough, just feel the mountains and rivers there), known as the Little Guilin in the north, but I think the stone statues there are The rocks in Zhangjiajie are similar to the shape of Guilin. There are mountains and water inside, all within easy reach. If you have four days in Dalian, Bingyu Valley must go! When you return to the city at 6 or 7 p.m., you can take a taxi to Yixin BBQ on Wuwu Street to try their LA steak.

On the fourth day, I took a bus from the train station to the Forest Zoo and came back in the afternoon to the Double Star Shopping Mall behind the train station (*** six floors, each floor is very long, seafood on the first floor, Souvenirs on the fourth floor) wander around and buy some unique souvenirs, seafood and so on. Return by train in the evening.

In this way, Dalian is basically full of things to do. As for Tiger Beach, to put it bluntly, it is a zoo. The main attractions are the beluga whale and dolphin performances in the polar pavilion. But in other big cities You can also see it, so don’t waste your time in Dalian for this. There is also Discovery Kingdom. If you have the chance, it would be more enjoyable to go to Disneyland. Therefore, based on your spending plan, I do not recommend

Forest Zoo and Bingyu Valley. It is recommended to buy a one-day tour on Taobao, which is much cheaper than buying it locally. Jinshitan recommends buying a package ticket at Jinshitan Garden Gate, and then buying a ticket for the bus within the hospital to explore on your own. Otherwise, take a one-day tour, otherwise the tour guide will cut out many attractions without telling you, and even ask you to spend more money to see some attractions. Go yourself.

One more thing to remind you: Don’t participate in self-funded attractions recommended by tour guides when you go there. Those are useless attractions where the tour guides want to get kickbacks for themselves. If someone goes to a self-funded attraction, don't just wait in place during this period. Make an appointment with the tour guide and go to other nearby attractions by yourself. You will be surprised.
