Curtin University, referred to as "Curtin" for short, is a public comprehensive research university, founded in 1900, located in Perth, the capital of Western Australia, Australia. The school is the first university of science and technology in Australia, and it is also a member of Australian University of Science and Technology Alliance, China-Australia University of Science and Technology Alliance and association of commonwealth universities.

Curtin University is located in Perth, a scenic city in Australia, with branches in Western Australia, Malaysia, Singapore, Dubai and Mauritius. Its predecessor was the Western Australia Institute of Technology, which was established in 1966. Curtin University was named in memory of former Australian Prime Minister john curtin.

In the academic rankings of world universities, Curtin University ranks 46th in the world in tourism and hotel management, and 4th in Australia.
