Design speed of Longgang Avenue in Chongqing

North-South Avenue starts from Konggang East Road, passes through Muer Town and Xinglong Town, and ends at Yulangou, Cizhu Town, connecting with National Highway 2 10. The total length of the route is about 25 kilometers. The construction of this avenue is implemented in two phases, and the southern section is about 9.8 kilometers, starting from Juren Dam in Muer Town, connecting with Konggang East Road, and ending at the east and west trunk roads (Xinggu Road) in Xinglong Town. The project started 20 1 1 in 2004 and is expected to be completed and opened to traffic by the end of this month.

The newly-built North-South Avenue is spacious with a subgrade of 37 meters. According to the standard of municipal first-class highway, it has six lanes in both directions and a design speed of 60 kilometers per hour. At present, from the vicinity of the airport bonded port building to Xinglong Town, Yubei, Chongqing, we can only take the old 2 10 national highway. After the completion of the North-South Avenue, the distance between the two places will be shortened to 10 km, and it can be reached in 10 minutes by car.
