History of Hilton Hotels

1. In 1907, during the Christmas of the Great Economic Panic in the United States, a child named Conrad Hilton opened a restaurant in an adobe house filled with groceries in the town of San Antonio, New Mexico, USA. He opened a family hotel to make ends meet and celebrate his birthday. He also said to his mother: "I will raise US$1 million to build a new hotel named after me."

2. In 1928, Kang On Ladd Hilton's 41st birthday, all of these dreams came true one by one, much faster than expected. Hilton hotels named after him have been built in Dallas, Abilene, Waco, Marin, Plainview, San Angelo and Lubbock.

3. In 1964, Hilton International was listed in New York.

4. In the 20 years between 1967 and 1987, Hilton International was acquired three times, and was finally purchased by the Hilton Group, formerly the Ladbrok Group.

5. In 1988, it entered the Chinese market.

6. In 2005, the construction of the Chinese website began.

7. In 2005, Hilton Hotel Company announced that it would sponsor the U.S. delegation to the 2008 Beijing Olympic Games.
