Installation method of square carpet

Three common paving methods of square carpets in the market:

1, self-adhesive installation method:

Stick 70mm*70mm self-adhesive plastic hard sheets on the four corners of the square carpet. Its advantages are less glue consumption and small smell, and it is suitable for small-area popularization and installation. The disadvantage is that the self-adhesive installation method is single-sided gluing, which only sticks to the four corners of the carpet and does not stick to the ground, so the adhesive strength is small. When this installation method is used in the later stage of carpet, especially when carrying or moving articles on the carpet, cleaning and vacuuming the carpet, and rubbing the roller, cracks will generally appear at the seam of the carpet, and the surface of the carpet will be uneven, which will affect the service life and beauty of the carpet. Moreover, this method has the advantages of slow construction speed, high cost and poor effect, and is not suitable for large-scale use.

2, stainless steel thorn piece installation method:

Fix a square stainless steel thorn with a 70mm*70mm round hole in the middle on the ground with a steel nail, and then pry open the four corners of four carpets with a shovel. Its advantages are no adhesion and no peculiar smell. The disadvantage is that the four corners of the carpet are about 0.3mm higher than other areas, and the carpet surface at the carpet joint can be clearly felt when walking. The problems caused by using the carpet are the same as those caused by self-adhesive installation.

3, water-based adhesive installation method:

Spread glue or make a square with the width of 10 ~ 15cm on the flat seam of the carpet, and then put the carpet on the glued floor. Its advantages are firm adhesion between carpet and ground, smooth seam of carpet, strong rolling resistance and friction, difficult cracking and deformation of carpet when vacuuming, and relatively simple replacement or maintenance of carpet. The disadvantage is that the newly installed carpet has a slight glue smell, so it is recommended to use environmentally friendly water-based glue, such as the glue of first-line brands such as Bangdun and Nanbao. This kind of paving is also the most common and mature way of paving carpets in large office buildings and office squares all over the world.
