During our trip to North Korea, the hotels we stayed in were all designated foreign-related hotels. Hotels in North Korea are different from those in China. They are not classified according to star rating. North Korean hotels are divided into special hotels, first-class hotels, second-class hotels, etc. Among them, the special-class hotels are among the best hotels in North Korea. When foreign tourists travel to North Korea, they generally stay in special-grade hotels and first-class hotels. Most of North Korea’s special-class hotels and first-class hotels are foreign-related hotels. Only foreigners are accepted, and locals are generally not allowed to stay.

During our stay in North Korea, we stayed at Yanggakdo Hotel, Koryo Hotel, and Xishan Hotel. From personal experience, Koryo Hotel is one of the best hotels in North Korea. When I talked with tourists in the group about hotels in North Korea, most people thought that the Koryo Hotel was good. Many people may be familiar with Yanggakdo Hotel. Yanggakdo Hotel is also a special hotel in North Korea. It looks very grand, but because the hotel was built for a long time, the facilities inside are relatively old.

The facilities of Koryo Hotel are somewhat newer. Walking into the lobby of Koryo Hotel, you will find that the decoration inside is magnificent, comparable to that of domestic four-star hotels. The Koryo Hotel has about 500 guest rooms, including more than 50 first-class guest rooms. In the middle of the hall, there is a huge oil painting about Mount Kumgang. The oil painting is magnificent and is said to be the masterpiece of a certain people's artist in North Korea.

Like domestic high-end hotels, the Koryo Hotel has very complete facilities. There is a living room, a revolving restaurant, a cold noodle shop, and a gym. Foreign tourists can sing karaoke, experience massage, and taste fine wine, but they need to pay for it at their own expense and are not cheap. The most impressive thing about the Koryo Hotel is the waiters inside. Most of the waiters are very beautiful and are said to be graduates of prestigious North Korean universities.

Their service is warm and thoughtful, and their performing arts are very good. It makes people feel that they were selected from the cultural troupe. The food at Koryo Hotel is also good, among which cold noodles, roast beef, iced seafood, etc. are very special. The Koryo Hotel in North Korea is very luxurious and the consumption is not low. It is said that you can stay there for one night at your own expense, and the price ranges from 300 to 3,000 yuan depending on the room.
