Where is Shangrao?

Shangrao is Shangrao City, Jiangxi Province.

Shangrao is located in the northeast of Jiangxi, with subtropical monsoon climate, connecting Zhejiang in the east, Fujian in the south and Anhui in the north. Located at the intersection of the Yangtze River Delta, the economic zone on the west side of the Taiwan Strait and the Poyang Lake Ecological Economic Zone, it is known as the thoroughfare of four provinces and the first gateway of Zhang Yu. Shangrao is a national optical photovoltaic high-tech industrial base and a national advanced manufacturing base.

Shangrao is an old revolutionary base area, a demonstration area for the revitalization and development planning of the former Central Soviet Area, and a red cultural inheritance and innovation area. It is also the happiest city in China, a national health city and the best investment city for businessmen from Zhejiang, Fujian and Guangdong in China. Shangrao is dominated by hills, surrounded by mountains on three sides in the northeast and Poyang Lake, the largest freshwater lake in China, in the west.

Gold, silver, copper, lead, zinc, coal and other minerals 107 species have been discovered in Shangrao City, among which 80 species are found to have resource reserves. Among them, there are more than 20 kinds of minerals with proven reserves accounting for more than 50% of the total reserves in the province, such as copper, molybdenum, gold, silver, nickel, niobium, cadmium and fluorite. The total land area is 2279 1 km2, accounting for 13.65% of the total land area in the province. The soil resources in the territory are rich, with diverse types and obvious differentiation laws. There are not only zonal soil, but also non-zonal potential soil and artificial water-bearing soil.

Shangrao has forested land area of 2 1.24 million mu, forest coverage rate of 58.6%, greening rate of 6 1.5%, and total standing stock of 52.026 million cubic meters.
