Halong Bay Halong Bay is the most famous scenic spot in Vietnam. The Vietnamese call it the eighth wonder of the world. UNESCO included Halong Bay in the World Heritage List in 1994. Because the islands in Halong Bay are all limestone peaks with different shapes and beautiful scenery, which are similar to the landscape of Guilin, Chinese guests who have traveled here affectionately call Halong Bay "Guilin on the Sea".
