What are the direct drinking water facilities?

There are many kinds of drinking equipment for chickens. The drinking water equipment commonly used by rural chicken farmers mainly includes strip water dispensers, tower vacuum water dispensers and nipple water dispensers.

(1) The long drinking fountain is a long trough made of bamboo, wood, iron sheet, plastic, cement and other materials, and its cross section is V-shaped and U-shaped. The size will change with the age of the chicken. This kind of drinking machine must try not to let chickens enter or perch on it. Suitable for chicks and adults.

(2) The tower-shaped vacuum drinking device consists of a steamed bread-shaped or pointed cylinder and a lower disk. The top and side walls of the drum are airtight, and there are 1 ~ 2 small round holes at the base 2.5cm high from the chassis (Figure 7). There are generally plastic water dispensers on the market. Rural professional households can use local materials, and simple drinking fountains made of large glass bottles (such as cans) are also suitable. Methods: Make a gap of about 2 cm in the mouth of a large-mouthed glass bottle, and pour water on the plate.

(3) The nipple-type drinking machine consists of a copper or stainless steel contact rod and a valve core, and is directly connected with a water pipe after passing through a pressure reducing device. It uses gravity and capillary action to control dripping. When drinking water, touch the lever and the water will flow out. After drinking, the waterway will automatically close to prevent water from flowing out. This kind of drinking machine has the advantages of cleanliness, reducing cross-infection of infectious diseases and saving water. It is suitable for all kinds of caged or flat chickens to drink water, and chicks can receive nipple drinking fountains from the first day of birth.
