River View Hotel, as the name suggests, is a hotel with a river view.

After planning to pass through Chongqing, we started to book hotels.

When booking a hotel, there are just a few principles: it should be close to where you want to go, not remote, lively, and special.

Special is the most important point among the four.

In order to have a glimpse of the Jialing River and sleep with the river view, we specially selected a hotel on the riverside, known as the "River View Hotel".

As for the location, it is next to the river. The room price is not low. It is also a holiday, so it is several hundred more expensive than a hotel far away from the river.

We have also been vaccinated. Since it is a rare self-driving trip and a rare trip to Chongqing, we must come happily and leave without any regrets.

As a result, I was given such a room.

How?

The room is underground and a bit damp and cold.

The only window in the room cannot be closed.

I once twisted a clothes hanger into two hooks, fastened the window frame and moved the glass, but in vain.

Outside the window, it was dark and windy, and it was a patio.

Put your head out of the window and look down. You can’t see the bottom of the patio.

Looking up, you can see the edge of a small platform about one level up.

The small platform has a roof, and between the platform and the roof, there is a space about one person high, which is the only place where natural light penetrates into the room.

However, the store did not specially give us such a room. If so, we will definitely ask to change rooms.

The main part of this hotel is actually underground.

That small platform is not a real platform, but part of the sidewalk outside.

Chongqing is a veritable mountain city, and most of the buildings are built from top to bottom.

The top of the mountain can be regarded as the first floor, which is built layer by layer following the shape of the mountain.

According to the sign, we are at the River View Hotel.

You should be able to see the river view.

The river view can indeed be seen.

On the first floor, not far from the front desk, there is a restaurant with a row of smooth glass windows.

Looking out, the Jialing River lies in front of you, very close and very clear.

In this way, the hotel is no longer suspected of deceiving consumers.

The friends who complained about Phoenix Inn were unhappy again and started to complain.

Expensive...the window cannot be closed...for two people.

There are no three-person rooms, only two-person rooms. The three of us have to merge the two beds and sleep together.
