Detailed plot: Tang Monk (Xuan Zang) met Guanyin Bodhisattva in Gaolaozhuang, and Guanyin selected him to go to the West to obtain scriptures. Xuanzang's father once won the first prize, but was killed by bandits on his way to his post. His wife was kidnapped and he gave birth to a posthumous son. In order to find the Buddhist scriptures, Guanyin transformed into an old monk and learned about Xuanzang's life experience in Chang'an Hotel.
The Jade Emperor invited Tathagata Buddha from the West, and Tathagata fought with Wukong. Wukong was unable to turn over the palm of Tathagata's hand, and was turned into the Five Elements Mountain by Tathagata and pressed under the mountain. The Heavenly Palace held an Anti-Tian Conference to celebrate the subjugation of the demon monkey and peace in the world. Wukong experienced loneliness and hardship at the foot of the Five Elements Mountain. Five hundred years later, Guanyin Bodhisattva appeared again, leading Wukong to meet Tang Monk and start the journey of learning scriptures. In this process, the four masters and apprentices, Wukong, Bajie, Sha Seng (Wu Jing) and Tang Seng, have gone through hardships and gradually adapted to each other, and face the unknown challenges ahead together.
