At the time of registration, the passenger's identity documents shall be checked and truthfully registered according to the prescribed items. To receive accommodation from overseas tourists, an accommodation registration form shall also be submitted to the local public security organ within 24 hours. It can be seen that the hotel must register and check the identity documents of passengers when registering, which is a mandatory item and also a requirement for staying in the hotel. But when staying in a hotel, the ID card is a kind of certificate that must be provided, but sometimes there are remedies if you forget it. The following methods are for reference only:

1, no ID card but other valid documents, such as passport, driver's license or residence permit, soldier's card, etc. These can also be used as my identification;

2. If you don't bring the original ID card, try to provide the online ID card stored in electronic identity or your mobile phone. Now many cities have gradually started to apply for online ID cards through Alipay and WeChat. The legal effect of online ID card is the same as that of ID card. You can click "electronic identity" in the ID list of Alipay platform, fill in relevant information for face recognition, and check in electronic identity. Entry method in advance: Open Alipay, click the home page, find the card package in the upper right corner, then select Add Certificate, and then upload the ID card to complete the entry. At the same time, you can add medical insurance card, social security card, driver's license, driving license, passport, etc.

3. You can go to the public security bureau or police station near the hotel to issue identification documents. Generally speaking, you can stay in a hotel with your ID card.

The handling methods vary from place to place, but in most areas, the handling method is to check in at the police station in the jurisdiction where the hotel is located. Some people try to check into the hotel with one of their peers' certificates, or bring one of their peers without going through the front desk inspection. None of these methods is feasible. If the hotel finds any abnormality, it has the right to refuse the passengers who have lost their cards to stay in the hotel, according to the relevant provisions of China's "Regulations on Public Security Management of Hotel Industry".
