Dongping, what's so interesting?

Dongping Lake Scenic Area, located in Dongping County, Shandong Province, is a national 4A-level tourist attraction. It is a comprehensive scenic spot integrating cultural experience, customs display, leisure and vacation, film and television shooting and tourism distribution. It is also the largest water margin cultural theme park in China and the largest film and television shooting base in Jiangbei.

The scenic spots mainly include Dongping Lake, the only remaining water area in the 800-mile water margin, Oriental Hollywood-Shuihu Film and Television City, the first water margin village in the world-Liugongshan Shuihu Dazhai, the first dam in the world-Daicunba, Qinghe Park, Baifoshan Park, Dongyuan Pavilion, Daotunwa National Wetland Park, Luo Guanzhong Memorial Hall, Water Park, Dongping Ancient City, Dongping Lake Wetland Park and Juyi Island. There are nearly 50 scenic spots, such as Yueyan Temple and Shi Jiecun. There are dozens of activities in the scenic spot, such as welcoming guests by Sung River, beating gongs and drums by Yan Qing, discussing in Loyalty Hall, judging by yamen, playing cuju in Duanwangfu, and selling biscuits in Wu Dalang. Since the regrouping of Dongping Lake Scenic Area, many excellent tourist routes such as Shuihu Cultural Tour, Dongyuan Cultural Tour, Wetland Ecological Tour, Buddhist Cultural Tour, Film and Television Tour have been carefully planned. After the successful filming of the new version of Water Margin, it attracted more than 20 cast members such as Love between Swordsman and Xia, A New Biography of Chu Liuxiang, Divination, Detective Beauty and Dayuan Dynasty.
