Xi' an landmark building
Xi 'an City Wall Scenic Area is located in the downtown area of Xi, and is rectangular, with wall height 12m, bottom width 18m, top width 15m, east wall length 2590m, west wall length 263 1.2m and south wall length 3441. There are four gates: East Changle Gate, Xi 'an Dingmen, South Yongning Gate and North An Yuanmen. Xi 'an City Wall was built on the basis of the imperial city in Tang Dynasty. Completely around the defense strategy system, the thickness of the city wall is greater than the height, and it is as stable as Mount Tai. The top of the wall can be used for sports cars and drills. The existing city wall was built in the seventh to eleventh year of Hongwu in Ming Dynasty (1374- 1378), with a history of more than 600 years. It is one of the most famous city wall buildings in the history of China in the late Middle Ages, and it is also the most complete existing ancient city wall building in China.
Central landmark: Bell Tower
Xi 'an Bell Tower, built in the 17th year of Emperor Zhu Yuanzhang Hongwu of Ming Dynasty (AD 1384), is located at the intersection of four main streets in Xi 'an central city. This is the largest and best-preserved bell tower left over from ancient China.
Xi 'an is the national military and political center in Ming Dynasty, and the building scale, historical value and artistic value of Xi 'an Bell Tower rank first among similar buildings in China.
The bell tower is built on a square base, with brick and wood structure, three eaves and four corners. The total height is 36 meters, the base is 8.6 meters, each side is 35.5 meters long, and the area is about 1, 377.4 square meters. There are spiraling stairs.
The eaves are covered with dark green glazed tiles, the building is decorated with gold and Qi Diao beams, and the top is covered with gold-plated treasures, which is magnificent. Taking it as the center, it radiates four streets in the east, south, west and north, which are connected with the east, south, west and north gate of the Ming city wall respectively.
Dietary coordinates: Drum Tower
The Drum Tower is located at the southern end of the north courtyard gate of Xi 'an Anxi Street, and is adjacent to the Bell Tower in the east. Built in the 13th year of Hongwu of Zhu Yuanzhang, the founder of Ming Dynasty, it is four years older than the bell tower and has a history of 625 years. It was rebuilt twice in the thirty-eighth year of Kangxi in Qing Dynasty and five years of Qianlong in Qing Dynasty. There is a huge drum upstairs, which is drumming every day, so it is called Drum Tower. After years of vicissitudes, the giant drum has long since disappeared.
Today, as the landmark building of Huimin Street, the most famous food shrine in Xi, Drum Tower still stands in the eyes of Chinese and foreign tourists.
Landmark: Big Wild Goose Pagoda
The Big Wild Goose Pagoda North Square was built in 2003. It is the largest cultural square in Tang Dynasty, the largest fountain square, the largest waterscape square and the largest sculpture square in Asia. Conceptually, the overall design of the square focuses on Joan Zhi and Tang Wenhua of the Big Wild Goose Pagoda, combining traditional and modern elements.
Administrative landmark: People's Building
Xi 'an People's Building was built in 1953 and rebuilt in 1985. It is located in the center of Xi, near the Shaanxi provincial government. It is one of the famous large courtyard hotels in China, and was once the main place for Xi 'an to receive state leaders and foreign guests.
Tourist landmark: Datang Furong Garden
Datang Furong Garden is located in Qujiang New District, Xi City, Shaanxi Province, covering an area of 1 10,000 mu, including 300 mu of water surface, with a total investment of1300 million yuan. It is the largest cultural theme park in the northwest of China, built to the north of the site of the original Furong Garden in the Tang Dynasty, and it is the first large-scale royal garden-style cultural theme park in China to fully display the prosperous Tang Dynasty.
Landmark in the west of the city: silk group carvings
Xi in Shaanxi was once the starting point of the Silk Road in history. 1998, a group of large-scale Silk Road sculptures with a length of 55.9 meters and a width of 3 meters were created outside Yuxiangmen in the west of the city, reappearing the prosperity of the Silk Road in that year. This is a group of camel business trips on the Silk Road.
The day this group of sculptures was born is the anniversary of Silk Road 2100th. At this time, it takes only a few hours to fly from Xi 'an to Constantinople and even Rome, and the export of China silk has long been far away from the ancient road. Silk is not only a commodity, but also a culture in a period of ups and downs. The symbolic significance of the Silk Road is far greater than the actual significance, but it will become an uninterrupted spiritual channel in the dialogue between East and West.
Landmark south of the city: Qujiangchi Ruins Park
Qujiang is a famous scenic spot in China in the Tang Dynasty, located in the southeast corner of Chang 'an City in the Tang Dynasty, named after the winding water. This place was called Zhou in the Qin Dynasty, and Qin Shihuang built Yichun Palace here. When Emperor Wu of the Han Dynasty listed Qujiang as a royal garden, he built a detached palace called Yichun Garden, where the Han Dynasty opened a canal and built Yichun Hou Yuan Hele Garden. When Sui Ying was the capital (Daxing City), the land was carved into a pool. Emperor Wendi of Sui called this pool Furong Pool and this garden Furong Garden. When Xuanzong of Tang Dynasty restored the name of Qujiang Pool, the name of the garden was still Furong Garden. According to records, when Xuanzong of the Tang Dynasty diverted water, it was injected into Qujiang from outside the city via Huang Qu to build a pavilion for the Furong Garden. Furong Garden occupies a square in the southeast corner of the city, protruding outside the city, surrounded by walls, with a total area of about 2.4 square kilometers.
Today, Qujiang, with its brand-new cultural real estate model, has become the leader of Xi 'an, accumulating a lot of material, financial and human wealth.
Landmark north of the city: Daming Palace Ruins Park
Daming Palace Site is located in weiyang district, Xi City, Shaanxi Province. It is one of the four major sites in Zhou, Qin, Han and Tang Dynasties and the most representative palace site in the prosperous Tang Dynasty. Daming Palace National Heritage Park is a key site protection project in China during the 11th Five-Year Plan period, and it is also an important part of countries along the Silk Road applying for world cultural heritage. The total investment of Daming Palace National Heritage Park is 654.38+02 billion yuan, of which the investment in archaeology, cultural relics protection and exhibition and park construction is about 3 billion yuan, which is mainly used for the protection and exhibition of the site itself and the park infrastructure construction. Daming Palace Ruins Park with the cultural orientation of protecting history, highlighting humanity, creating the future and benefiting the people.
