Fengcheng city is a county-level city under the jurisdiction of Jiangxi Province, which is managed by Yichun City. Fengcheng city is adjacent to Jinxian County of Nanchang City and Linchuan District of Fuzhou City in the east, Chongren County of Fuzhou City in the southeast, Le 'an County of Fuzhou City in the south, Xingan County of Ji 'an City in the southwest, Zhangshu City in the west and Gao 'an City in the northwest. By the end of 2022 10, Fengcheng had a total area of 2,845 square kilometers, governing 20 towns, 7 townships, 6 streets and 607 communities and administrative villages.

At the end of 20021,the registered population of fengcheng city was 1469600. Fengcheng County was established in the fifteenth year of Jian 'an in the Eastern Han Dynasty, and it was designated as Fucheng County in the south of Nanchang County. In the first year of Jin Taikang (280), it was renamed Fengcheng County. 1988. With the approval of the State Council, the county was withdrawn and the city was established. 3. Yaohu National Wetland Park is located in the lower reaches of Jinjiang River in the northwest of fengcheng city, 20 kilometers away from fengcheng city and 30 kilometers away from Nanchang. The lake originated from Ruihe River in Longtan, a stone niche, with an area of 375 square kilometers and a storage capacity of 42.36 million cubic meters. The terrain inclines from west to east, with the lowest elevation of18m. There is a 9.6-kilometer-long elevated Jiangxi-Guangdong Expressway on the lake, and there is a cave named "Dragon Bed Cave" at the foot of the lake.
