What are the details that are easily overlooked in hotel room design?

Guest room design is the most important place to reflect the hotel's hardware service for guests, which can convey the hotel's service concept, local cultural characteristics, the guest room grade reflected by the house price, ergonomics, the choice of carpets and wallpaper, the design or choice of furniture and lamps, the choice of curtains, the configuration of lighting and the choice of sanitary ware. There are many noteworthy details. I have been engaged in hotel design for 20 years and have some experiences to share:

I. About the entrance passage

In general, the entrance passage is equipped with wardrobe, wine cabinet, toilet mirror, etc. In the design, we should pay attention to the following issues:

1. It is best to use waterproof and dirt-resistant stone for the ground. Because some guests will take a bath or wash their hands in a bathroom door, the water will spill or be taken out by the guests' hair;

2. Don't make the sound of opening or sliding on the wardrobe door. The track should be made of aluminum or steel. Because noise often comes from the deformation of hinges or slide rails;

3. It is popular to use the design method that the lights in the wardrobe will light up as soon as the wardrobe door is opened. In fact, this is dangerous. It is best to have an independent control switch for the lights in the closet, otherwise it will leave a hidden danger of fire or electric shock;

4. If the safe is not designed too high in the wardrobe, it is advisable for the guests to squat down and use it completely. Never design in a curved place, otherwise the guests will feel tired;

It is best not to set a mirror on the door, because the mirror will increase the weight of the door, so the door will not open so lightly. Over time, it will also lead to the deformation of the door. It is best to design the mirror on the wall next to bathroom door.

6. The socket for boiling water in the wine cabinet should not be too close to the countertop, and the distance should be kept at least 50~60CM. Otherwise, when plugged into the socket, the tail line of the socket is hard and cannot be bent and used;

7. The mirror behind the cabinet should be an anti-fog mirror, because boiling water will produce fog;

8. It is best to choose an energy-saving downlight with a frosted glass cover for the ceiling lamp to avoid glare.

Second, about the design of the bathroom.

1. Many hotels use waterproof gypsum board for the bathroom ceiling, but it is not. We suggest using aluminum plate or other metal materials with rust-proof and waterproof surface, but don't use 600×600 or 300×300 dark keel aluminum plate ceiling, because it will be deformed due to manual disassembly and assembly during equipment maintenance;

2. Waterproof slate is set on the ground under the bathroom door to prevent the water in the bathroom from flowing into the room passage;

3. Select the silent harness with high pumping force. Don't choose too complicated shower facilities, choose equipment that is commonly used by guests and easy to operate. Some of them are too complicated or novel for guests to use or use inappropriately.

4. For bathrooms with shower glass rooms, you must choose safety glass. It is best to have rubber strips next to the glass door, which is not only waterproof and impervious, but also makes the glass door softer and more comfortable when it is opened;

5. The water impulse of the faucet should not be too large. Choose a faucet with soft water and wide water surface. Sometimes the water flow is too strong, which will splash on the pants of the guests, causing temporary inconvenience and unhappiness;

6. The mirror should be fog-proof, and the mirror surface should be large, because the bathroom is generally small, and because of the mirror reflection, the space is relatively spacious both visually and psychologically. Clever use of mirrors in the bathroom will have unexpected effects;

7. The floor tiles in the bathroom should be non-slip and dirt-resistant. The edges of floor tiles and wall tiles are finally marked with white or other colors of waterproof glue, so that dirt has nowhere to hide;

8. The telephone in the bathroom should be placed between the toilet and the sink to avoid being washed away by the shower water;

9. Mirror headlights should have anti-glare devices, and the downlight in the middle of the ceiling should preferably have a frosted glass cover;

10. The door and door cover of the bathroom should be designed to be waterproof about 200MM from the ground, and can be designed as stone or sand steel veneer;

1 1. The floor of the shower room should be anti-skid, and the bathtub with anti-skid design can also be selected, and the anti-skid pad must also be equipped.

Third, about the design of the room

1. The bed should be at least 200CM away from the bathroom door, because the waiter needs a certain operating space;

2. Carpets in guest rooms should be durable, antifouling and even fireproof, and try not to use light or solid colors. Now there are many rooms with composite wood floors, which are practical, hygienic, warm and comfortable and worth popularizing.

3. The corners of the guest room furniture should be obtuse or rounded, so as not to hurt the guests who are not tall and young;

4. The curtain track must be made of durable materials, the shading cloth should be thicker, the folds of curtain cloth should be suitable, and the materials that can be washed should be selected. If it can only be dry-cleaned, the operating cost will increase, and the loss will outweigh the gain;

5. There is a rotatable partition under the TV, because many guests need to adjust the angle of the TV when watching TV on the sofa;

6. At present, button control is more popular in room lighting control, rather than touch electronic control panel;

7. The design of the socket should consider the charging use of the mobile phone, which is often ignored in the design of many hotel rooms;

8. The choice of bedside lamp should be careful, both anti-glare and durable;

9. The design of luggage platform is often neglected. The wooden side of the luggage platform in many hotel rooms is not painted evenly. If such a luggage platform is adopted, the soft bag part can eventually be transferred from the plane to the facade, and the thickness is about 50MM, which can prevent the luggage from colliding; You can also use a movable luggage rack, but the wall should be designed for collision prevention. Some hotels have 18mm thick glass, which is novel and practical.

10. For artworks such as hanging paintings, it is best to choose the original Chinese painting or oil painting. No matter what the level is, it is worth hanging than the decorative painting printed by computer, which reflects the taste of hotel managers from the side;
