PYH?-LUOSTO NATIONAL PARK

Viewed from the highest peak of the Holy Mountain (Pyh?), the December afternoon sky presents a beautiful pink. The last ray of light shines on the top of Luosto, 25 kilometers away. The clouds and mist descend into the valley, and the scenery is dreamy, like a painting. Snow-covered birch trees form the frame of this painting.

?land (?LAND)

In November, I spent a week on ?land, and now it’s time to go home. Hop on the ferry to Mariehamn and begin the 5-6 hour trip back to Turku. Around 4pm, walked outside to the deck for a view of the Baltic Sea. Against the backdrop of the dusk sky, a rough yellow windmill stands on a small rocky island.

Ute Island (UT?) in the Finnish Archipelago

Ute Island is the southernmost inhabited island in Finland. Starting from the mainland of Finland, there is a free ferry to take you there. This Baltic Sea island is a 5-hour boat ride away. Whether in the cold winter or during the bird migration periods in spring and autumn, Ute Island is a popular tourist destination. Ute Key Island is just over 1 square kilometer in size, and only about 50 people live on the island year-round. Yet the number of residents in the summer is three times as high as usual. The Finnish Armed Forces evacuated the island in 2005, and the army buildings were taken over by locals and are now rented out as tourist accommodation.

PALLAS-YLL STUNTURI NATIONAL PARK

On a Sunday morning in mid-February, the highest point of the YLL ski resort It's peaceful, standing on the top of the mountain, with a panoramic view. Looking toward the national park at the foot of the mountain, Mount Pallas in the distance has long been bathed in dazzling sunlight. To the front and right is the mountain Kellostapuli and behind it is the mountain Kes?nki. What is misty among the mountains is the veil-like clouds.

KOLI

Koli in Northern Karelia is home to Finland's most famous national landscape. Try to picture it: blue Lake Pielisj?rvi (or white in winter) dotted with islands; surrounded by beautiful hills covered with tall candle-shaped spruce trees. This mountainous area is called M?kr?vaara, and in the distance is the 253-meter-high Ukko-Koli peak on the shores of Lake Pieris. Such stunningly beautiful scenery is only a 10-minute walk away from Koli Hotel. In Corrie National Park, you can hike to a variety of natural wonders: traditional gardens, ancient forests, and hilly landscapes of lush trees, flowery meadows, sheep grazing areas, and lush bushland.

OULANKA NATIONAL PARK

Oulanka National Park in Kuusamo is one of Finland’s most popular national parks. The rapids are impressive. The most famous of them are the Kiutak?ng?s rapids on the Oulanka River, the Myllykoski rapids on the Kitka River and the Jyr?v rapids. ?) Riptide. Use a slower shutter speed when photographing rapids to bring out its natural beauty. What fascinates me the most is the ice and snow that shines with beautiful white light. This photo of Milukowsky Rapids was taken in January 2012 at 2pm.

SARAMO

In early October, at 6 pm, we drove from Kuusamo to the lush Koli Mountains of North Karelia. That day, I had hiked for 5 hours in Hiidenportti National Park. As we continued driving along the south-facing road, we suddenly discovered a large field and lake. The lovely autumn scenery creates charming reflections on the lake. I walked to the lake and took this photo using the last glow.

RIISITUNTURI NATIONAL PARK

At noon, the temperature was minus 30 degrees Celsius. I parked the car in the parking lot of Riisitunturi National Park. It is only a few kilometers away from the 466-meter summit. The temperature at the top of the mountain is much warmer than below; the lovely sunset illuminates the winter pastoral scenery. The snow-covered trees in Lixi Mountain National Park in mid-winter have long been known to nature photographers around the world.

Repovesi National Park (REPOVESI NATIONAL PARK)

In the afternoon of July, walking on the path in Repovesi National Park. I brought a tent and some food and planned to spend the night there. In the evening we finally reached the cliffs of Olhava. While climbing up the cliff to enjoy the spectacular scenery, I suddenly noticed moving figures on the rock wall: those rock climbers needed to work hard to climb up on the almost vertical rock wall, a full 50 meters away from the lake. This experience must be wonderful!

KILPISJ?RVI

There is a popular tourist attraction in Kilpisj?rvi, that is The tri-border between Finland, Sweden and Norway. Not far away stands the highest point in Finland, the 1,324-meter-high Haltia mountain. Behind the mountain is the Saana mountain. One day in August, I had the privilege of photographing the azure Kilpis Lake from a helicopter.
