What is Dadaism?
The name "Dada" itself has no meaning, and it evolved from the "Dada" sound of children playing wooden horses. It was used to solve an international "anti-art" movement from 19 15 to 1922. Its main activity center is the Voltaire Hotel in Zurich, where like-minded poets, painters, writers and musicians participate in experimental artistic activities with unconscious poems, "noise" music and spontaneous paintings. Dadaists appear as a nihilist, irrational, anti-aesthetic, disillusioned with everything, crazy and destructive. Their works are expressed in a chaotic, absurd, symbolic and anesthetic artistic language. Dadaism strongly opposes the established artistic power and traditionalism. The typical works of Dadaism are "ready-made products", which show an ordinary object extracted from primitive environmental art as "works of art". Dadaism finally ended in 1922. Dada's fanatical anti-rational movement laid the foundation for the emergence of surrealism later.
