Can Taiwan airport use US dollars?

1) Bank of Taiwan, Zhaofeng Bank, etc. exchange RMB into NT dollars at the counters of Taoyuan, Songshan and Kaohsiung Xiaogang airports: the handling fee is NT 30 yuan. Exchange of NT$ into RMB: the handling fee is NT$ 100. There are currency exchange counters at Taoyuan Airport 1 and Terminal 2 before entry, baggage claim area and after exit.

2) Chunghwa Post (Postal Savings Department) exchanges RMB for NT: no handling fee.

3) The limit for bringing cash in and out of Taiwan Province Province is 20,000 RMB per person. If the excess is declared, it can be stored in the customs and taken away when leaving. If you don't declare it, you will be confiscated if you find it.

There are many banks in the extended information city that can exchange money. At present, there are 4 1 banks (including 2,825 branches) that can convert RMB into NT, and there are 140 foreign currency exchange institutions, such as Bank of Taiwan, Cooperative Vault Commercial Bank, Taiwan Land Bank, China Trust Commercial Bank, Yuanda Commercial Bank, Guotai Shihua Commercial Bank, Zhaofeng International Commercial Bank, and Taiwan Province Small and Medium-sized Bank.

These banks don't charge fees for changing money, but mainland tourists must show relevant identity documents, such as entry and exit certificates, or relatives' residence permits or long-term residence permits. Please prepare all the documents when changing money at the bank. Some banks will also show their Datong cards or passports (Taiwan Province Province often needs double cards).
