There is nothing to see in Lhasa, but old people and children should not be too tired. It is best to rent a car locally. Generally, an off-road vehicle with a driver costs more than 2,000 yuan. Go to Shannan and Shigatse. The altitude is similar to Lhasa, and the road is easy to walk, so it won't be very tired.

Recommended itinerary:

On the first day, the night view of Potala Palace, the Tibet Museum (the most free), Jokhang Temple and Potala Palace Square must be seen, as well as the musical fountain performance, which is particularly beautiful.

The next day, the mausoleum of the Tibetan king in Lhasa-Shannan region (the birthplace of Tibetan culture, including Yongbulakang and Sanye Temple) suggested not to visit it. Live in Shannan at night.

South of the Third Tianshan Mountains-Yangzhuo Yongcuo (beautiful lake view)-Langzika (what glaciers are there along the way)-Gyangze (shooting location and story prototype of red river valley)-Shigatse.

On the fourth day, Tashilhunpo Temple in Shigatse returned to Lhasa from the northern line in the afternoon.

On the fifth day, Lhasa-Basongcuo-Linzhi (Yangni River scenery) stayed in Linzhi at night.

On the sixth day, Linzhi-Bomi, along the way, there are world kings of cypress (charging) and Lulang Linhai (overlooking Nanga Bawa Peak), and I live in Linzhi at night.

On the seventh day, Linzhi flew back to Chengdu or took a train back to Lhasa.

Namco is not in the itinerary because of its high altitude, so the elderly and children should not stay too long. If you must go, you can go to Namco on the day when Shigatse returns to Lhasa, and then go back to Lhasa, which is enough time.

June-August is the tourist season in Tibet, so you should make an appointment and book tickets early.
