Can I cook in a straight steel pot?

Whether the direct heat preservation steel pot can cook is determined by its heat preservation principle.

There are two kinds of thermos pots;

1, intermittent heating and heat preservation, relying on heating source to maintain constant temperature and heat preservation pot. For example, the heat preservation design of the rice cooker, when the temperature in the pot drops to the designed minimum critical value, immediately turn on the temperature control switch for heating; When the temperature reaches the highest value, stop heating. Keep the basic balance of temperature repeatedly, and play the role of heat preservation. This pot has a heating source and can cook rice.

2. Set insulation layer for bad heat conductor, and rely on insulation pot to reduce heat dissipation speed. For example, the common double-layer straight thermos pot adopts inner and outer double-layer stainless steel, and vacuum treatment is carried out between the inner and outer layers, which is similar to the vacuum layer, and the heat conduction effect is very poor, thus achieving the heat preservation effect. This pot has no heating source, so it can't be cooked directly. Due to double-layer thin metal pressing and vacuum treatment, external heating sources (gas stoves, induction cookers, etc. ) will cause the deformation of the pot body and destroy the vacuum structure, so it is impossible to cook on the heating plate. And because it is made of metal, it can't be used in the microwave oven, so it can't cook.

Straight-plate thermos pot is economical and practical, with good thermal insulation effect, but the top cover and bottom still have thermal conductivity, so with the increase of time (cháng), the temperature in the pot will gradually decrease.
