Practice content and process of switch

I still remember being arranged to work as an intern in a hotel at school. Since that internship, I have had a good opportunity to exercise and have grown a lot.

With the last experience, it can be said that it is handy this time, but it is very interesting that the last job was the switchboard, and this time it was the switchboard, and it was really attached to the switchboard. I know very well that this internship is different from last time. Last time it was exercise, we should take it seriously this time. The requirements of the hotel are much stricter than last time.

With the last experience, I am familiar with the operation of the switchboard, that is, I just need to recite the extension numbers of each department. However, the extension number of this hotel is particularly difficult to remember, and it is also divided into buildings, which is very complicated, so I dare not neglect it at all and memorize it by heart. At first, I couldn't figure out the situation. Once I took a wrong turn, and the master was right. But as I became more and more familiar with it, I ended my four-month internship unconsciously, and I still had a lot to think about. What happened in these four months is enough to give me a meaningful lesson!

The switchboard is responsible for answering the phone and sits for 8 hours a day. For those students in restaurants and guest rooms, how I envy having such an easy job, but who knows the taste? In the eyes of others, the switchboard and monitoring are not dealing with outsiders. It looks easy, but is it an easy job? The work of the switchboard is more bitter than sweet. Stay alone in a small room with nothing but a telephone every day. The hotel rules are very strict. The switchboard can do nothing but answer the phone! But it's much better after getting familiar with it. The biggest advantage of the switchboard is that I don't have to contact the guests directly, and the guests can't see me. I don't have to be nervous when I answer the phone, and the switchboard is usually fine. Although the work is very hard, I know that this internship is a turning point in my future work and a good exercise. So instead of complaining, I worked hard.

In this internship, the hotel leader asked me as a formal employee and was very strict with me. Sometimes I cry, sometimes I want to give up, because my job is boring. But I thought about it. Now the internship is only a few months, and the future work will be decades. If there is no way to get through these hours, what shall we do in the future? Considering this, I must continue to work.

Although I have suffered a lot, I have learned a lot and exercised a lot in this internship. What I didn't learn in school, I have learned now. At school, teachers never scold students, but leaders will scold you mercilessly when they see you make mistakes in your work. I can't contradict unreasonable guests, let alone offend them, so I have developed a good temper. In addition, work attitude is also very important. Learning is learning knowledge, and work is learning to be a man. Whenever a guest calls, I am the first person to contact. If my attitude is not good, the guests will have a bad first impression of the hotel. If you receive a phone call from a foreign guest, you should communicate with them in fluent English. When you receive many calls at the same time, you should do a good job of hospitality, not neglect, but speed up.

In addition to these, my biggest gain is that I learned how to pick up and take care of group guests when I encounter difficult problems. Guests in the reception team should record their own situation one by one. If there is morning call service at different times, it is very important to check the time carefully and wake up the guests on time, because if the guests' trip is delayed, it will not only affect themselves, but also bring great losses to the hotel and damage the image of the hotel. This also makes me develop good habits such as getting up on time, and I often demand myself with the requirements of work in my life.

For these four months of internship, I have a lot of feelings, both for myself and for life. I used to hear my parents say that work is not easy to do. I just didn't believe it then. Now that I'm at work, I've personally experienced the taste, but my parents are right. Work is so realistic. If it's not good, I'll fire you. If you are wrong, you will be criticized. The guest is God, and everything is customer-centered. I think this has long been a famous saying of the hotel. At work, I learned to be patient, to be strong, and to realize the difficulty of making money. I believe those students with bad temper will also be tempered into good temper!

I am well aware that it is really difficult to find a job now. If you have a satisfactory job, you should cherish it. It is not enough to have theoretical knowledge, but also to know how to integrate it into the work. In fact, the working environment can change a person's habits, no matter what happens. We should be modest, be good and better, and be bad and better, so as to gain a foothold in a fiercely competitive society!

I believe I will have more confidence in my future life!
